I like LUG handbags but I do not like the straps.  They always separate and that not only looks awful but it is annoying.  This keeps me from purchasing any of the crossbody styles which is the only style I use..Maybe a heavier fabric or some sort of band would help...

@bargainsgirl,

I feel the same way about my Lug. I like everything about it but the strap and not just because it separates but the strap does not stay on my shoulder if I don't want to use it for a crossbody all the time.

 The strap is too light and too wide. So have put it on the shelf especially with coat season.

@bargainsgirl @on the bay

Did you know you can purchase straps for bags on ETSY?

They come in different widths with any color of hardware.

Have purchased and can recommend.

Not on ETSY but I have seen them  on Amazon.  But I feel for the price of Lug one should not have to buy a better strap somewhere else.  I now have 2 IHKWIP bags and their straps are much better.

@bargainsgirl Thanks for posting.  I've been kind of tapdancing around the lug bags but have not made a purchase yet.  Normally I buy Kipling and am just frustrated that they don't have any new styles I like.

I did purchase a bag off ETSY at a very reasonalbe price from a vendor called tippythai. I just wish it had more pockets.

I've turned into a LUG girl since 2020, preferring light weight, nylon crossbodies for my everyday life... I love hands-free purses, and small-medium size. I just never was a big bag girl.

I don't experience any "separating" with the straps, but I do find I often have to adjust them, as they tend to twist around, not always lie flat. Not a deal breaker to my carrying them, and not that uncomfortable, but kind of a slight annoyance how often I feel I have to adjust them.
