I enjoy CIJ & everyone should realize that Holiday sales keep retailers in business. There are lots of items & vendors on the Q that I have no interest in but realize others do so that's their time to enjoy-shop & I'll do something else. I don't understand all the complaining about CIJ, use the Programming Guide to avoid the shows. My small town had CIJ in really hot humid weather, it was a well attended fun event & 2 garden centers were Winter Wonderlands, they sold lots of trees & decorations....I look forward to the event every year.

If you change the channel you won't have to suffer.
There are other things to do than watch QVC.
Gosh Froggy.... WHAT????

Ha! They've really put it in overdrive this time around, haven't they!
I tend to not watch ANY of it, but did it always start in, full boar, on the FIRST day of July? I thought it started toward the end.
All I can figure is that it must be a huge money-maker.

It.s 90 degrees here...why not have summer items on sale.Personally I do not watch the Christmas shows in July, I choose to enjoy Summer...and when the cold weather comes,I will enjoy Christmas when it gets here. Why does it need to be rushed??

I can't stand it.
Instead of putting things on sale, they start in with Christmas now. It's getting earlier and earlier every year.

WAY LESS CIJ, please. I won't watch and I won't buy.

My guess is that it is popular and will continue. I'd rather see a Christmas tree TSV than a vacuum or Vitamix.

I love Christmastime!!!!! I shop all year for gifts.
That said, this programming is overkill! Yes, I know, marketing wants to be the first to get your money. Blah, blah, blah!!!!! I don't even turn it on or look online. Too much hype for too long a period. Variety in programming is nice. I enjoy jewelry and fashion programs.

That's so right on @Mominohio!
Three channels and they waste the programming opportunity - duh! Can't get the Beauty channel on Fios in my area. And, Q2 is often, or at least when I've checked, just re-airing previously taped shows. Why? Guess the POBs know what they're doing; but, imho, offering diverse programming might attract a larger audience.
I miss the QVC is years ago: plenty of brands, diversity in products and enjoyable to listen too - hosts were knowledgeable of the products, no hard-selling techniques, used proper pronunciation, spoke in a normal tone and at a normal pace. The product/sizing, whatever was thoroughly described; the hosts strived to sell the product, not themselves.
Merry CIJ

@ILUVChristmas wrote:Regarding others doing Christmas in July; Well, Hallmark has their Ornament Premiere today and the place was packed with people buying tons of Christmas ornaments and decor. Don't tune into Hallmark Channel either because they have Christmas movies on...wouldn't want anyone to suffer. I always wonder why there is no complaint with seeing Halloween in Michaels, At Home stores, Hobby Lobby starting this month...but oh mention Christmas and everyone turns into Scrooge.
I love Christmas DURING THE ACTUAL SEASON. Can't we just enjoy the season we are in? We start to plan for Christmas in September. That is four months of the year dedicated to one very stressful holiday. They have changed all the school years so that kids go back to school at the end of July. We only have 2 months of summer - lets enjoy it while it is her instead of being force fed another month of Christmas.![]()
