Judith Ripka jewelry has too much diamonique

Does anyone agree that lately Judith Ripka's jewelry isn't as elegant as it used to be? I'd like to see more unadulterated sterling silver jewelry without the diamonique, which l think makes it look cheap. Also, the yellow and rose clad are not as nice as the plain sterling. I do like the pieces that have genuine colored gemstones.

I absolutely agree. They've more or less ruined the line because it seems that virtually every piece is laden with it... They bring in all these high end designers and then proceed to utterly dilute their work by having them work so extensively in DMQ... I have no interest in 'designer' fake diamonds. And besides, they're too pricey for what they actually are.

It seems the complaints began after Xcel bought Ripka's company....although Judith remained as the ""designer"". This seems to happen when a lot of company's are purchased by another..Like when Philosophy was purchased by Coty customers complained about watered down formulas . Ripka's line has too many fake diamonds for me and synthetic and fake gems too which really make this line overpriced costume jewelry......JMHO.

I didn't know she sold the company. That would explain it. Thanks for the info.

Too many of her rings are "cocktail rings" ..... worn after 5 pm. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I don't go to that many cocktail parties, and it would be nice of she made more rings that could be worn during the day and not look so silly. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

I quit buying JR because of the DMQ. It's just way too much.

Spurt, truth be told, there's been a lot of discussion about HRH's prices and overuse of DMQ and lower end gemstones now for a number of years, well predating her sale of the family business... Sort of doubt, though, it'll get any better now!
