I wish the hosts would stop giving item numbers.  I’m not sitting in front of the TV with a pad & pen anxious to jot down the number when they announce it!  It drives me crazy.

 Others are using a pad and pencil, smart phone or tablet to look up items as they are watching the presentation on television.

Realliy?  Why not just quit showing the items at all or giving any information about how to order?  Why not get rid of it all?

if the hosts don't give item numbers, how will you identify the items you want, if you want to order? by color and sleeve length?

I'm glad they give the item numbers.  Don't see any reason to NOT give them.

@LIPearl.  Do you realize how many people are visually impaired and depend on the host giving the item number since they can't see it?  What a silly thing to complain about.

I take down item numbers IF I am in the "buying mood".     Who knows......I may like the NEXT or the LAST item even better than the one they are showing.......(or maybe not).

This really may be a sign that you should stop watching, at least for awhile. You may have something going on in your life which is easily frustrating you. If so, I'm so sorry. 

But if  you think about what you are saying in a quiet moment, you might see how out of proportion to normal it really is. Best wishes to you.

@LIPearl  Perhaps, right at the time you wrote it,  you didn't really think about your post before submitting it.  It does sound incredibly self-centered.  You really cannot see any value, to anyone, for the hosts giving the item numbers?  Your opinion is your opinion, of course.  But....

even if I may not have need for something, I might try to see the value or the absolute importance for someone else.

I use a smartphone or tablet.  I could never jot down item numbers.  The websites have days worth of previous items.  I suppose many people depend on those item numbers.  If not on-line, I’m sure the order operators can find the item.  I’m so website savvy & guess many are not.
