Is it Time to Bring Back the Models?

I ask as a question because I don't know what the laws are in Pennsylvania, where QVC is located, but I have seen TV shows broadcast from New York, California and Washington DC bring several people on set at the same time.

I like to see more than one model wear the fashions; sometimes no one does, we only see the item in the hanger - https://www.qvc.com/Denim-%26-Co-Button-Front-Utility-Jacket-with-Twill-Placket.product.A378184.html.

I would like to see side by side comparisons, and not just the virtual ones, because the models are invariably shot at different levels of magnification, so it is hard to get a true view.

Thanks!

@NYCLatinaMe I've been wondering if it's time to bring them back also.  I know they work through Joy Talent Agency and maybe there's some issue there or could it be that for whatever reason the specific models have childcare or other family issues or medical reasons that impact their being able to be in the studio for the shows.  Easy for me to say but I wish it could be sooner rather than later.

I don't know what PA laws are either but yes I think it's time to bring back the models and the vendors both.

I think they could return.  After all. PA stadiums return to full capacity on June 11.

At this point, it probably depends more on QVC's preferences than on what the state allows.  But it would be nice if they were vaccinated below stepping into Studio Park.

I'm wondering if QVC is saving money by not having several models on a show.  So I'm wondering if they'll keep it that way.  I hope not.

Yes, it'd be nice to see the models again. However, I hope it's done after they are vaccinated and are mentally ready to travel. It's been a tough year so it's not at the top of my list.

I am sure they are saving money on models and staffing.  Less styling, less inventory to manage, fewer cameras, etc....

PA has pretty much opened up if you are completely vaccinated plus two weeks and I doubt that's so w/all QVC employees. This would include, not only hosts and models, but cameramen/women, secretaries and makeup staff, etc. Unfortunately, too many in PA still feel COVID is a hoax.

They probably wouldn't need to fly out vendors, I'm only thinking.

They are doing a great job, commenting from their homes.

It's the hosts and models who actually show us the 'bits and pieces' of each item.

Hosts, and models returning would be nice.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Is it Time to Bring Back the Models?

With so little product information on some of these items it would be nice to have a model out there from the start like they used to. QVC has multiple studios. They could have a couple of models standing quite a distance from each other. Now I have to fast  forward to the model on these videos IF ther is one. The incessant chatting that some sales persons do before they even mention the product drives me up the wall and I really do not need someone to take five to ten minutes to introduce all the colors to me.I guess that I have to keep in mind that some people watch this site for entertainment, not just for shopping. When I shop on other sites the video goes right to the point.

It appears that the corporate heads want the consumer to buy now and ask questions later. I have noticed that many people are not returning things because it costs so much and is so much trouble. That will encourage this kind of poor customer service. Younger people who have not known the world before globalization do not recognize that this is how they get people used to accepting inferior products. Sadly, more experienced shoppers are realizing that they have no say about it.
