Ipad Functionality Update from Q Team

[ Edited ]

I emailed them and this is what they said:

We're currently working on the IPad functions you mentioned.

We do not know at this time when the toolbar will be available, but we're working diligently to fix the issues. We appreciate your patience.

Why in the world would they launch this so called "new and improved" (NOT!) board without properly testing it on all platforms? Specific promises were made in regards to iPad users which are NOT true!

Eliminating subforums was a total bust!

QVC, what were you thinking???

Re: Ipad Functionality Update from Q Team

My sentiments exactly!  (Typing this at work on a PC instead of my iPad at home).

The whole hoopla about the shiny brand new forum and that iPad/tablet users would have all of the functionality of PC/MAC users, was just a lie?  The OP of this thread was the very first I've heard about even the possibility that QVC was "working on it".  I specifically asked, and was specifically told before the launch that Safari, as well as Chrome and Firefox, were fully compatible with iPads and that yes, we would indeed have full functionality.

Apparently it was naive of me to assume that meant from Day One, when they've had months and months to test it out.  It appears as though nothing was tested out, they just slapped it up half finished.

I can deal with learning new navigation and new ways of finding interesting topics, but I am very annoyed at being made to feel like a second class citizen on the forums, especially after we were assured that the new platform would be compatible.

Every day that goes by without this functionality means it is less likely that I will keep coming back to see if iPad users are finally considered part of the community.  It stinks :-(

Re: Ipad Functionality Update from Q Team

This new format frustrates me.  I have not even tried this new format on my iPad.  On this computer I always use IE because it fills up this wide screen monitor.  On Google chrome it centers the page and is the width of a normal sheet of paper.

They did improve IE. That is much easier than Google Chrome for me to read.  So I am grateful for that.

I am sure most of you are aware that you can go to the very very bottom of the page and find that minus and plus sign at the bottom right corner and tell them your issue.  I told them about IE being spread out and then it was resolved.
