Seems like the hosts are too busy chatting these days to provide information about the product they are selling! I remember years ago, Kathy Levine told us that she was trained to describe each item as those the customer was blind. And she did! Still does! Terrific! But when certain hosts come on, I change the channel. They tell personal stories all night when Im just trying to find out the length, the material, the size of the item. Frustrating! They wonder why sales are down? People are watching for amuzement. They certainly cannot buy with confidence! That's $6.95 down the drain to return it!

Maybe these days they figure any info is available online.

If you have to go online to get the pertinent info, why have on air at all??

@KWestchester You mean you don't want to hear about JT's daughters?  What is wrong with you?  Doesn't everyone want and need to know all about them?  I won't watch her any more but I bet dollars to donuts that she is still talking about them.

@KWestchester @kaydee50 @FranandZoe

I know some people try to avoid going online to check information on products. However, if I see an item on-air I am interested in I prefer going online to check ALL the information offered. I retain information I read better than what is heard. Also, it is very important for me to read reviews, these are valuable to me.

Although online is preferable for me to obtain information, I still like the "live" presentations to get an idea and a "feel" for the product but I still rely on what is written in the description before ordering.

I don't bother much with watching live QVC anymore. I shop online to watch videos and get information.

@wilma I'm doing the same thing. I don't watch QVC any more, I check online for "Items Recently on Air".  I do watch HSN from time to time, especially if Emeril or Curtis Stone is on.

Giving information, a la doing their job, interferes with their antics, stories, and useless chit chat. I turn the channel when anything like that starts.
