Re: Include the Host With Show Listing

I do not really care who the host is.  They are all pretty good.  Also I have come realize that hosts have specialties.  So if I am going to watch a Ripka show,  I have some idea who the host may be.

Re: Include the Host With Show Listing

Thats the point. There are show hosts people do avoid. They probably figure you are cooking dinner or something and don't want to change the channel. Why do you think some of the tv shows back when remotes didn't or were not as common. People would leave it one channel to watch a show and they would either fall asleep or were playing cards or something to worry about getting up. SInce there were limited channels, networks would put a show struggling in ratings after a major hit. I ealize that a shopping channel is a little diff.

Plus, consdering that some hosts have *cough cough* 10 shows a piece it may also be demeaning to those that are lucky to have one or those that selling the high end items compared to 3am costume jewelry or apple slicers for some hosts who don't get invited to the "cool kids table". They cannot argue no matter how long they may have been there, they need a paycheck......

I watch for the product, not the host.  Sure I like some hosts better than others, but it doesn't impact my viewing.

Re: Include the Host With Show Listing

As others have said, HSN lists the hosts for every show.  In fact, you can search their Program Guide on-line and find out when a host will be on.  Or you can click on a specific host and their schedule is brought up for the next week or so.

I do remember when the hosts schedules used to be listed but for safety concerns, they stopped that.  But I'm not really sure how much that would help. Many hosts put their schedule on their FB or Instagram pages or when they are done with one shift, they announce the next time they will be on.  If someone is really interested in stalking a host, many of them have dedicated shows or are on at basically the same times.
