Since there are hosts I avoid, it would be helpful to me if the hosts were listed along with the segments including subtitutes when the named host is off. I don't watch PM Style because I dislike the regular host but last Monday I just happened by and was pleased when I saw there was a substitute instead.

The did at one point and it lead to hosts being stalked

I hope they do not, for the safety of all the hosts. There are some real loons out there.

I think it's a great idea and one that's been suggested before. HSN not only lists the host of every show, but they also list the names of the guests. If, in fact, there was a stalking incident at one time, how long ago was that? Perhaps they have better security now. I love the idea. Not only for the reason suggested by the OP, but because there are some newer hosts that I might want to see. Would be nice to see when they're on.

I agree with listing hosts. The other shopping channels don't seem to have an issue with it. Maybe QVC likes having the ability to make last minute changes.

HSN lists their hosts on the DirecTV guide.
I love it.

I just don't care all that much who is hosting when I know I might be a buyer rather than just a watcher. The product calls me more than the salesperson.
And I've pretty much given up watching shopping channels except to buy just as I've stopped browsing locally as some sort of entertainment. Yep - I'm old and finally getting smarter about "stuff."

I don't think that would be a very smart business move for Q for the exact reason the OP mentioned.
Just as many may NOT tune in if they know who the host is! Might be bad for sales.
I agree with @millieshops
I also am interested in the products and don't really care who is hosting.
If my favorite host is leading an electronics show, I'm still not going to watch. If my least favorite is hosting a beauty/fashion segment, I tune in anyways...and just change the channel when I have no interest in the PRODUCT.

Interesting thought! Church bulletins sometimes do this so you can choose which priests sermon you would like to hear. Think it might keep some viewers from watching which is not great for sales.

I don't think that it would be pracctical to list the name of the host of a show, simply because what if that host called out sick for that day, and they had to find someone else to fill that show?
It would be too late to change the name of the show in the tv listings at that point.
