Nutmeg3 thanks for your reply. I did contact my transit card company here in Chicago. The card I was concerned about is a touch technology. The wi-fi symbol in a sideways position on the card does not represent RFID.
They advised me that there is no way anyone could get my credit card information for reloading on file with them is by calling them and responding to a security question, or if they had actually stolen my card. As a result I do not need RFID protection. They did do a partial disclaimer by stating this does not mean there is no way I am 100% protected, as I expected.
In any event, thanks for your reply. I do not need RFID for any of the EMV chip credit cards I use.
Maybe this information will educate someone else who may be confused about this issue.
