Re: Hosts lying about sizing

@Puppy Lips    I agree. I know what my measuremebts are and always check the garment measurements.  I rarely have to exchange things for sizing reasons, but I do return if the quality or material don't measure up.

@Puppy Lips I think @SamBrown meant huge compared to brick and mortar stores. I'm generally a small in the stores but with QVC I have to get an XXS or XS. The smalls end up 2-3" too big in my waist and hips. Small dresses are even larger for me and some XXS are too big. I can't imagine a true XXS person able to purchase clothes from QVC.

Basically, we all know, QVC has vanity sizing so most of us have to size down 2 sizes from our real size.

@Puppy Lips Yes, @cjm61  that is exactly what I meant.  A QVC size small is much larger than a size small in a brick and mortar store.  QVC has always been like that.

@yDulhav2chgmyname 🤗

I’m not sure if you typed your post as I was typing mine and you missed seeing mine above yours? 🥴

BUT The Q does put the Bra sizes along with waist and hips and height of the models on tv and in the photos where they list an item. They usually put an XS and a larger size models stats in the still photos. 🤗

Maybe you haven’t seen this VERY Helpful feature yet??? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Re: Hosts lying about sizing

I agree with your premise. The hosts are definitely modeling as they work. They turn to show us their derriere and the fit of pants. They lift their tops to show off the waistband of an item. They give us their height and the size of the clothing they are wearing/ modeling. They often go stand beside the models to give an additional size.   Why wouldn't a customer factor in the shape and size of the host?   You are right. Common sense.

At this point, I'm thinking it is the way they come across on the tv!

Re: Hosts lying about sizing

I find the models are honest about the size they are wearing and want the clothes to look real good The vendor rep for Susan Graver yesterday said she is wearing a size xs for the jacket. No way she's an xs. It did look tight on her so possibly she wore the extra small

@mjmm  -  Beth Chandler has always worn an XS in tops/jackets.

Re: Hosts lying about sizing

Leslie Machado on HSN said she's wearing a size 10 pant. No way. She's squeezing into a leather like pant by C Wonder. But she'd look a lot better in a 14.

Re: Hosts lying about sizing

The reason you think hosts are not telling the truth about pant sizes is b/c knit pants can be stretched 6-8 inches. And some hosts use every bit of those inches.

I literally laugh also when Jane calls herself "petite"
