I find it annoying for the host to run off-screen to change clothes.  I just feel like they should wear one outfit.  But, I don't watch that much, so I rather doubt they're looking for my input.

Why doesn't QVC switch the Hosts to Models and the Models to Hosts?

The hosts are always trying to do the Models job.  If I was one of the Models I would be upset.  The hosts are always trying to take over the models job.  Certain hosts are out there like "Look at Me."

The Hosts and models do what corporate QVC tells them to do.  The models are not QVC employees and have no say on what they will model or if the Hosts will try on and model clothing too.

QVC provides sample clothing....and shoes in the Host's size, and they encourage them to model the clothing.

Sometimes, the Hosts have to model clothing, especially the TSV that does them no favors.  It's their job.

If the models become upset over this, they can find a job somewhere else.  I know of no place that will allow a non employee from an agency to come in to their workplace and get upset over having to do their job alongside of a real employee of the company.

I too, like @SandySparkles , am perplexed by this post. I just don't get why people get annoyed that a host changes into another outfit. Does it really matter if a host walks away while the rep discusses the garment?

People on here complain because the reps don't get to speak enough. Then they complain because the host steps away and the reps ARE speaking about the garment.

I just don't get it. However, I do know that it is proven that what a host wears will sell faster.

If you read regularly on these forums, customers ask all the time "what is the host wearing". Years ago they wore their own clothing many times, now it seems that most often they wear what they sell. This is because it works. I'm sure many studies have been done. Though this may annoy a few, it must work for sales if QVC has all the hosts changing regularly.

While this is an interesting idea, I agree with some others that it most likely would not work out for one reason or another.  If a model were interested in hosting or visa versa I'm sure they could apply and interview....

If people want more options for seeing the clothing worn, and some comments on the board indicate they do, then I don't understand the complaint about host changing the garment they're wearing. More changes, more things to see.

Of course there is the possibility that it's an opportunity to complain and snipe about different host...

Totally agree @Etoile308  !!!

The more an item is shown on a live body instead of hanging on a rack....the better chance I have to see if it would be right for me.

I can NOT think of one single model that is my height, shape or weight.  Not one.

I am a little closer to a couple of the hosts.

Who cares how many people try it on....it's a plus to see it on a variety of shapes And to get to see the different colors in full view.

How accurate could seeing clothing on hosts be when a few are not telling their true size. At least the models are not all xs or xxs.

I can't imagine management telling host to constantly talk about their vacations, their  Mama, Daddy, dancing daughters, Mickey Mouse and long gone ballerina days.

I can.  They want to humanize the hosts so that we think they're our friends.  They talk about their lives and families to be relatable.

Some hosts, like Leah have always been private, but most of them do talk about family....even the male hosts.
