I totally agree.....if I am watching at all....I will change the channel once a host starts interrupting to tell us amounts left....one color selling faster then the other...the lines are busy use automated ordering...etc etc....things that could wait till the vendor is through with their explanation....
There are a few hosts on HSN that do the same....Shannon is the worst...I can't watch her any more she is so loud and rude....

Shannon is the worst host on HSN. Have you noticed how she is constantly saying (in the background) yep, right, yes, yep, yep, yep.

Let's assume the hosts stop all "interrupting," and then we can begin to see the following complaints: "Why didn't they tell me that they were running low in this color?", "Why did they not notify us that there were long wait times on the phones?", "Why did they not warn us that there would be no reorders?".
The product "specialists" are mostly sales people for hire. IN many cases (at least on the few shows I watch), they do have important information or any sort of special knowledge. They provide a relief for the hosts whose job is to encourage people to buy and to move the presentations along.
If one really wants to know the ins and outs of a product, its features, and its problems, the best solution is to do a quick search online. Everyone posting here already has internet access, and a quick web search will be far more advantageous than sitting and listening to a paid spokesperson

Let's get real, if I'm interested in a product and am serious about buying, I will call in immediately or buy online. I don't need a host huckstering about color and product selling out. I want to hear what the product specialist has to say without interruption.

Here is a brief example how The host Jane Treacy, lost a 600.00 sale for QVC.I settled down to watch an one hour presentation of Bose.i wanted to hear all the benefits and operations. The Bose Rep. was interrupted so many times,by Jane and her personal stories, after about 40 minutes,I was so annoyed,I gave up and changed the channel.I was very ,very, interested in purchasing and learned nothing, and I mean nothing about the product.

Shannon is beyond aggravating. I just can't watch her. She is an automatic change of channel for me. The constant reference to how much more of an item has been sold, and that they are way ahead of projected sales numbers, blah...blah..blah.

In most cases this is an argument that falls on deaf ears with me, as I figure the hosts tend to know easily as much about the product as most vendors and, for the most part, I find most vendors superfluous... That said, I make it a point to NEVER watch Rick but I broke that little pact with myself last night because I was interested in seeing what I assume was the first Roberta's show of the year... I'll never break that pact again. Granted, I make no bones about it, I cannot abide Rick, but even for him he was in orbit last night. I also doubt that he's any kind of horticultural expert... I really wanted to hear what the young man from Roberta's had to say, but it was just impossible. The poor kid couldn't get a word in edgewise and even when Rick asked a question the vendor attempted to answer Rick, the big mouth, would interrupt him with his phony, expansive antics... I'm always awed by people who claim to like Rick because he's so 'enthusiastic'... Folks, THAT, is NOT enthusiasm. It's his excuse for salesmanship and it's offensive, nerve-wracking and obnoxious. Never again...

My thoughts exactly. He is another one that I can never watch longer than five minutes.
