Several times I see certain hosts wear clothes that aren't appropriate for selling items on QVC.

I always think they are overdressed as though they are going to a wild party or a bar!

You guys crack me up when someone states their opinion and a bunch of you gang up on her and make rude remarks and state she has too much time on her hands. lol

What are you doing here?

What amuses me are people who start threads about everything about QVC and its hosts and vendors that they don't like and expect whatever it is to be fixed immediately. The OP didn't just state her opinion, she clearly expected, by her own words, that all she had to do was call QVC, tell them she didn't approve of the dress and they would rush the host out a caftan to slip on so as not to offend - HER.

There are a lot of things I don't like in life, from QVC-related to soup to nuts, but I rarely start threads about it. I figure no one else but me cares what I like & don't like.

EXACTLY. So many posters here think that their OPINION is the only one that counts. It's TOTALLY a LOL!

Big diference between having an opinion and expressing it here... to going to extremes by then feeling entitled to becoming the morality and fashion police calling QVC expecting the network to appease ones own singular tastes in dictating what is or isnt "appropriate" policy in host wear according to them or their singular sensitivities. Wow......just Wow. A Channel changer is more affective and results are immediate. I would have never felt entitled to push my own tastes or morals on anyone or expect them to change policy according to my taste.

You seriously called QVC to get in touch with the studio about this?  ROFLOL

I'm thinking maybe you watched the news story where the weather girl was handed a sweater on air because viewers were calling in and complaining that her dress was inappropriate.

I saw that show from the beginning.  Shawn looked lovely and there was absolutely nothing inappropriate or indecent about her dress.

Don't you think the hosts' on-air wardrobe is furnished by Q, and they're more-or-less told what to wear?  I don't know but have always assumed that was the case.

And as you know, we see it on these forums every day, all day, neverending. And it's not even just "I want" any more, it's "QVC NEEDS TO....."

The whole X (company, person, organization, govt) NEEDS TO DO Y thing, just to please that individual (because of course EVERYONE thinks as they do) makes me want to, as is often said on these forums, throw up in my mouth.

I think it varies. Sometimes yes, sometimes no, many times a mix. Mary posts what she wears and it's often a pretty 50-50 mix of her own & vendors. And I would think some hosts are more into doing their own thing than others.

maintwins welcome to the forums. I'm sure you will enjoy all the  opinions on different subjects. Sometimes we agree and sometimes not. It doesn't matter you get to experience some really nice people and learn so much. As far as Shawn's dress I think it's according to the individual's taste of fashion.

Re: Host's attire

LOL LipstickDiva....I think if I could I would also ROFLOL or perhaps throw up alittle in my mouth LOL. This entitlement or "special snowflake" syndrome  that some have that is getting more pervasive makes me think WOW..........just WOW. Maybe is because Im very ill and cant be bothered to impose my singular demands and opinions on others but to call and demand QVC or anyone to change practice just "because I said so and speak for everyone" Is just.....WOW. LOL @Plaid Pants I agree LOL. Thanks for the chuckle I needed it. I would say a channel changer comes in handy LOL Ya'll made my night LOL
