I couldn't agree more! Those long, ornate, pointed nails are just ridiculous. Who can wear all of that stuff? It looks so cheap to me and I agree that I find it distracting. In today's world, I suppose no one can tell an employee to stick to a more traditional and classy look so I guess we are stuck with it folks!

Monifa & Vanesss are the worse
Very distracting I feel . I don't Want either doing jewelry shows because all I see is those nails. Vanessa Recently did a jewelry show and those nails were just in the way. I don't know how she takes care of a baby and that goes for Courtney as well. How are you changing your child and if they do have a nanny I would think there has to be times they would have to change a diaper themselves. Plus they could easily s Scratch the child. Vanity .
I just dont care for all the nail art and stones, pearls etc. distracting when showing items. And I find it gaudy.

Nail art is not cheap & quite expensive. Nails are an accessory today & the art is here to stay & a means of personal expression. My nail studio is jammed everyday & beauty parlors out of business. I had my hair done weekly when I was younger; today it’s nails for younger folks, men & women. I see many construction workers & landscapers at my nail salon.
@Stray @that is very strange .....construction workers and landscapers ?! Very weird !

Just as distracting are the hosts (Julia and Mary D) have fake nails that are white and pointy. They let their own nails grow out too far and these fake nails are obviously 1/4" or more grown out. Looks bad and cheap. When they are doing jewelry or food shows it is too obvious and ugly.
@NYwoman @I,agree somewhat , but at least there Nails are a light shade without pearls and stones and zigzags and all that

@snipsnapsnur @I agree totally ! Especially Leah she has the most beautiful hands!

I dont mind some Nail Art, I think it can be really pretty and artsy...I do not care for super long, pointy nails at all.
But to each his own.
At my local TJ Maxx there is a clerk who has been there for years with nails so long, I wondered how she worked the register and did everyday things, but somehow she obviosuly manages.

I don't like the strange nail look. I'll be very happy when that fad is gone.

I can take the fingernails not the loud cackling!
