Hosts should not state that a particular product is the only one they use (usually beauty or skincare products) or how many pairs of shoes they own when the following day their favorites are a different brands. They should simply present the product.  That's the job...salesperson.  Credibility issue!   Yet, again, they seem to inflate their own importance.

@Daffney

Some of the hosts are quite phony.  Some WAY more phony than others.  I'm not permitted to name names, but you will catch on!

Re: Host Credibility

[ Edited ]

They only want you to buy and that is why it is so funny how some will truly think they want to be your friend....sure as long as you buy....buy....buy....they love you...LOL!!! I have noticed how some are rude to customers that call in to talk about the product and sometimes they rush to get them off the phone.

They are like used car salespeople.....they tell you to buy that car now because so many other people are interested in the same car and that car is so good they would buy it for their mother....months go by and that car is still on the lot for sale.....LOL!!!!

It is just a job...and a paycheck and way to make a living and they know that before they take the job.

I agree with you. Its disingenuous. Alberti was selling the small carpet cleaner yesterday. He said he used it every day. His dog has accidents every day. He wasn’t comfortable saying it. That is how ridiculous it was. Courtney talked about buying a dress they were selling in case you had to go to a funeral. They need to stop doing this.

@Daffney , You really want to sink the company !  Their job, their only job is to sell.

Their job is to sell the product. The host will say they use the beauty product they are selling daily  and the next  beauty show they host, they say the same thing !  If you listen to what they say you would be buying 7-8 different products or more !  I buy what I like whether beauty products or fashion which they also encourage buying more than one. ( and some people fall for it)  Yes it is a credibility issue !  I couldn't do that kind of job myself but to each his/her own.

Oh my.  That's a new one.  Give her credit for being creative, anyway.

@Daffney  Each salesperson has their own technique. Ever like one car salesman over another?  Appliance, carpet, plumbing help varies but all intentions in all retail arenas is to make a sale.

I just want to add, and truly I don't want to be mean, but if any of this stuff worked the way they say, wouldn't everyone look better ? I'm 73 and I don't have a wrinkle.  It must be good genes , because my skincare regimen is haphazard at best. I think occasionally you hit on a product that is ok, but another might be just as good.
