Hanukkah is NOT the Jewish version of Christmas

It has nothing to do with it.  It has nothing to do with the bible either.

BACK BURNER ...

- sales for Jewish home decorative items is NEVER on the forefront.

Oh, and it's PATHETIC to me, how LITTLE I can find out in retail for a STAR OF DAVID.

Lack of INCLUSION is a dang disgrace.

I'm Jewish, and when my son was young we gave him a gift for each Hanukkah day. We (the adults) also gave each other gifts.  With covid today, since we're not getting together, I sent my son something from QVC.

If you go online to gifts from Israel, they have a lot!  Just google it.

It is part of Jewish history; how we overcame an empire much bigger than ours and managed to reclaim our Temple and heritage. It may be a minor festival according to some, but it is a celebration of pride and how we managed to overcome great odds to survive. Light always overcomes darkness. That's a good thing to remember.

I agree!! They came out with a throw for Hanukkah on day 7. I had already bought a very very similar throw just like that one two weeks ago at our local TJ MAXX and it only cost me $19.99 I have spent several thousands purchasing computers, cookware and decor. I've been asking for years for more items to decorate my home with, during the Feast Days and nothing from QVC but a throw! This is very sad to me

You're right! I did decorate with a snow theme using the snow globes that blow the snow around. That would be nice to have more of a winter selection.

While it may be true that QVC is only concerned with "profit margins," the appearance of excluding a particular cultural/ethnic/religious group is never a good look for a corporation. It certainly won't help their sales if they are perceived as uninclusive.

So, regardless of whether the Chanukah themed items are as profitable as Christmas, it behooves QVC to offer them, as well as Kwanzaa. And by "offer them," I mean present them more regularly during holiday shows.

Having said that, I often hear hosts including Chanukah in their gift-giving and fashion spiels.
