No one makes money sharing YouTube video links. Only a YouTube account holder can make money, and only if they monetize their account.

I never thought about that - sending people to your YouTube channel in order to increase revenue.  I don't think it's bad though as most everyone knows how YouTube works.  And it's not like thousands of people would be directed to the site from here.

I am one who has shared music videos.  I've never heard of those who share being paid to share.

Some of the creators on Youtube have said it is very, very hard, and harder now than it used to be, to make money on Youtube. They need so many subscribers, I believe 100,000 and Youtube sends them an award.  There is a different level to get monetized, or ads.

It has to be original content, and not a news clip you saw somewhere else, to become monetized. Its not easy.  And some creators are really good and put in hours and hours into their channel and interact with their patrons and chatters.  Sharing increases their audience, but I've never seen anywhere that those who share can make money doing that!

Yes, let's ban cute animal videos and videos that may be useful to posters because we are afraid someone might make a little money to feed their kids.

No legitimate member of this this fourm makes money simply by sharing YouTube video links on accounts that belong to someone else they have no connection with.
