Please list GAMERS 24/7 as other Forums are listed.  Why do I have to sign in before it shows under the Forums list?  I'd like to know reasoning and decision for this.  It causes confusion and too many questions about GAMES!!!!!

AND why do posters have to request "permission" to participate in GAMERS?  There will be an ongoing thread(s) on Community Chat asking about GAMERS.  Eliminate this by opening to everyone.  As a Gamer, what is the big deal and secrecy about this Forum???

This was the explanation posted the other  day by a moderator:

This is only a guess.  If the game forum posts showed up to everybody, when you click "forums" it would be full of gaming posts and we would have to sift through all of them to get through to the other posts.

I'm not even sure if this is correct, but I think it is.

I think we better leave be.

Hi Everyone, MIMA is correct.

If the Gamers forum is made available to everyone then all gaming posts will fill up the View All Form Topics page, or when viewing the Forums page (listed just below Forums & Blogs). Everyone would have to sift through all of the posts just as many experienced in Community Chat over the past few days.

Anyone who wants access to play is welcome, the Social Team just needs to be alerted and we will update your profile within 24hrs.

I hope this explanation helps.

Well, I'm confused ... by the moderator. I don't play games, but my curiosity was peaked by all the talk about games, and thought I'd take a look, but not if it's "secret" Smiley Happy But the moderator's comment confuses me even more; perhaps it's just me, as much of this new site confuses me ... or the "rational" behind it. Gaming didn't "fill up" the forum, any more than did Linea, nor WEN, nor IM, SG or any of the other product line or special interest topics ... When we had ... SUB FORUMS to organize and contain each of those topics!!! There to look at in the organizational outline, available to see, ready to be clicked on to expand and explore should something catch our eye ... SUB FORUMS, moderators, SUB FORUMS ... not secret societies ... sigh ...
