My sister volunteers at a local church sponsored thrift store and the local grocery store donates day old bread and fresh fruits and vegetables to be given out.

I kind of agree, it just doesn't look good when there is so much need

they could reduce the amount on the table

I don't think homeless and hungry are watching the Q.

QVC is a very large, ongoing corporate supporter of the Chester County Food Bank.

Qurate more than does its share to combat hunger and food insecurity in its communities.

I volunteer at a food bank and the food we cannot distribute in our grocery bags goes to a Farmer who makes a trip in.

If OP is offended by the amount of food Q 'wastes' then she should volunteer at a school as a lunch lady assisting children wth milk boxes, ect - and SEE the amount of food thrown out by the Kids.

I do believe that Q feeds the crew - I would be waiting in the wings.

I'm guessing @applr has already left and won't see this but I think this is strange. Is having food in grocery stores an issue? I am not positive but think they don't feed loads of homeless and hungry with their samples. Hunger is a real thing in our country but I don't think stopping the selling on TV is going to help with the problem.

If you look in a grocery store or restaurant dumpster you'll find a lot of thrown out food. Call me crazy, but I bet you don't boycott grocery shopping or eating out.

It's the cost of doing business.

Would you eat food that's been sitting under hot lights for hours?  No. And neither should the poor.

sheesh.

The amount of food presented on the display table is just too much.  What you actually are buying has to be shown but it is not necessary to show us all the ways you can prepare a steak or piece of fish.  You do not need to cut into five different steaks or crumble five cookies.  It is a waste and it obviously offends many.
