I hate the way Corell dishes shatter when dropped, glass explodes everywhere.  Seriously.  I've been using them for years and years but I'm thinking to start using something else. I found glass shards from a plate I dropped on the floor all the way over to my counter top. I don't think other dishes explode like that, do they?

@MoJoV @My sister dropped a Corelle dish while I was visiting her, and yes, they do explode into a million pieces.

I have had my set forever, probably 40 plus years.  I have dropped a few plates, but I have never broken any.

They are super durable and lightweight and never chip or craze.  They are a good choice.

Unless your dishes are plastic or melamine, they will probably chip or break when dropped or even bumped.

When I married in 1968 I was using a set of green and white melamine, I think it was called Melmac?  Of course I also had a set of formal fancy china, by Lenox, as was the custom in those years. Upgraded to Corelle when it was first produced and have always loved it. No utensil marks, lightweight and durable. My first set was in avocado green, then butterfly gold, then Indian summer. Still have some pieces, but now I'm back to using my old pink melamine plates for just hubby and me. Went through a stoneware phase, but it was just too heavy for me.

I used fiesta all of my adult life. It's all my grandpa had since the 1920s though his was leaded.

My arthritis won't let me use it anymore because of its weight . I have 12-14 place settings to donate to charity.

@hkrgrl i buy it from Macys or Kohls or Fiesta's site...whoever has it on sale.  Im curious...Why do you want to have QVC sell it?

@LizzieInSRQ

why not??  more choices!!

made in USA, lead free.

temptations is all made in China.  who knows what kind of paint & manufacturing practices they are using???

i would be happy with Corelle as well.

if the Q has such great buying power, then they should have competitive pricing.

i buy at Macy's as well.  right now 30% off and free S&H.

QVCs buying power wouldn't have an impact on a brand like Fiesta.  They have many points of access to consumers including their own website and doubt they'd need another middleman.  I get that you'd like to buy it on QVC, but the shipping alone would be prohibitive.  I have a ton of fiesta as that's all we use, but wouldn't buy it here with so many other options

No, i don't like to buy at QVC per se, but it would be nice to see something different presented.  and Fiesta might be inclined to do something different just for Q.

tired of Temptations with all their unattractive patterns that hold no interest for me.  And they are all made in China, as previously stated.

where do u buy yours?

I have some of each, Fiesta bakeware is very heavy so I tend use Temptaions more! Both are great for baking.

I just gave my fiestaware to my son and his wife. I loved them and wish I could still use them. Arthritis in my hands doesn't let me use them anymore.

I still have a big box of 1920 Fiestaware in my basement. They were used at Grandpa's house when mom was little and by all of us until he passed. My uncle inherited them and gave them to me before he passed.

I can't use Grandpa's because they were made with lead back then.  But they are so sentimental. My kids will probably throw them out after I pass.

Q is not price competitive and would charge more than other retailers.

Buy from other retailers, use promo codes, or look at replacements.com.

I have purchased directly from Fiesta,  along with Macys and Penny's. I don't think Penny's carries the line any more? Perhaps Kohls also sells them or did? I think if too available there wouldn't be a market. I really have all I use and have donated some pieces I had too many or did not use like a pitcher , coffee sever and teapot.

All my Temptations have cracked.  I have older dishes and they are fine and are made in the USA.  I buy made in America.
