They may be "in style" but I do not like ankle pants.

As far as I'm concerned, they look like pants that are too short.

I'm only 5'1" but have long legs and petites don't work for me so I can't imagine what a petite length would look like on me

I agree.  Just my opinion, but I see very few people who look better in crops and ankles than in full length.

I like the ankle length pants and like cropped as long as they are not flared. I don't wear shorts very often (I have a huge scar on one of my legs) so these signal summer to me. I don't like the unfinished hem pants.

And I think straight leg pants are just terrible.  Isn't it great to have choices?

I'm not a fan, but I think they look fine on other people.  I don't feel like my jeans make me feel any hotter in summer than they would just a few inches shorter.  Most of the leg is still covered, and mine will stay covered because I don't want my legs out there.  Not a pretty sight without the help of some hosiery.

I believe it's a conspiracy - LOL.  Ankle pants now and in a year or two they're out and full length pants will be in - at a higher cost of course.  Don't they do the same thing with dress lengths?  I don't think it's as much about style as to keep people buying.

This is just for me, but crops and ankle pants are in the same category as 3/4 sleeves. They are all an awkward length on me.

I like ankle/crop pants, because I'm short and they end up being full length pants on me that I don't need to hem.  I just wish they would make the legs a bit larger.  Not all of us have skinny legs.

@QVCkitty1 My daughter thinks I like 3/4 sleeves, I don't, so I end up cuffing them to just above my elbow.

What I really like is elbow length sleeves.
