QVC needs to return to its old policy of guality, value and convenience. Experienced hosts like Leah W and Jane B are a pleasure to watch because they put emphasis on the item being sold and explain it in detail including fabric description etc.. In a calm voice  that is easy to listen to. When I purchase an item presented by them ,I seldom have to return it.Many newer presenters use  high pitched voices with rapid chatter ,a kind of hard sell, that is difficult to hear and watch and their item knowledge and focus seems lacking. It is obvious their focus is sales per minute. More training is necessary.   Return to a less obvious ,pressured ,mass marketing sales approach.      Shipping and handling fees are too high for purchases and returns . Manufacturers need to cut and size clothing items accurately according to measurement charts online. . This is one reason for many returns. Better quality control, including many more familiar designer brands at reasonable mass sales prices and item focused presentations would help reestablish this company's reputation and bottom line.

@9531 Have you ever worked QC? I have and I think the quality is just fine. It's the prices! But then what isn't high?

Re: Experienced Hosts

[ Edited ]

Prices are high everywhere because most of the things that QVC sells are imported, and we are still dealing with high tariffs.  And domestic companies who have seen all the prices get raised, are raising their own prices too, why wouldn't they?

And don't forget there are people who don't watch QVC just to buy things, they are watching it almost all day long.  they specifically tune into shows and hosts that they like.

@9531   "Manufacturers need to cut and size clothing items accurately according to measurement charts online."

Vanity sizing is NOT rocket science.  Very hard to do so accurately & to everyone's satisfaction.

In light of recent developments, I can't see anything in this tiny font paragraph to be any kind of priority right now.   And if this ends up with a hedge fund, it definitely won't happen any time soon

@Tori3569

You seem very knowledgable on the subject. I would like to hear your thoughts on what changes viewers could expect if QVC were taken over by a hedge fund.

Thanks for sharing!

I can't bring myself to watch much Q anymore. I tune into a shopping channel to shop and hear about products...not have to deal with personal lives, menopause, host antics, screeching, crudeness, etc etc.

I do check the schedule and items recently on air. I always price check before I buy.

I think the bankruptcy tells us all we need to know about how Q has managed their business over the years.

Working at Q has nothing to do with how Q got to this point unless you are a senior executive or marketing officer.

Enjoy Q if you want.
