why can't we edit a post?  this seems to be pretty standard for message boards except here.

You can.  I'm no tech expert here, but if you click on the three little dots at the right top of the post (even after it's been on for a while) there will be a drop down menu.  Choose edit, and then go ahead and make your changes.  Hope it works for you.

On sescond thought maybe this only works for repllies. I don't do uch original posting, so I'm not sure.

I was wondering how to edit also.  Let me try the 3 little dots.

(Looks like it works, thanks)

Thanks, I'll try it.  Now if I can only find my posts, grrrrr.

Hello@Snoopp@Perkup is correct in telling you the Edit function is in the three gray dots. There is more information in the Welcome Get Started category like this blog that has many answers in it. Hope this helps!

Click on my signature for directions on editing posts, adding a signature, and all kinds of other things gathered from around the forums. I update the post whenever I see or write a post with directions on how to do something.

You can edit an original post too. I just did to correct autocorrect. That feature puts in the strangest stuff.

I still haven't figured how to find anything I have replied to, or posted. I thought I could click on my name & find it....not true. Can anyone answer this for me???

Hi, Tx Starlight,
Type your nic in the search box for forums & blogs. Next to the search box it has the "Community" drop down menu. Click on the down arrow and change from "Community" to "Users". Then click on the "Go" which is the red square below the search box.

You will come to your nic page. In very tiny faded out lettering you will see "posts" with the number listed. Click on that.

So there you go! 4 steps and the page jumping, but you will get there!

I was fortunate in that I figured out most of the boards functions reasonably quickly...  It is unfortunate, though, that more routine functions like edit and quote require the steps they do.
