Why is easy pay the default payment method?  I often spend hundreds of dollars a month on QVC, but I only want one payment.  If I can't afford to pay it off, then I'm not buying.  In my opinion, easy pay should be an option, not the default method.  There should be some method of entering your preferences so you don't have to go through the elongated checkout procedure each time.  They sure know enough about you to keep showing you items you might like, based on your purchase history, so why can't they automatically process the purchase based on my preferences, unless I select the option for easy pay.

It appears you are confused about ez-pay.  Perhaps the mods can explain it.

@Diane in Michigan  My guess would be that Easy Pay is the default because MOST people want it.  They would be very upset if they expected it but it wasn't the default and they forgot to ask for it.  It could be a financial disaster for some.

I agree that the Easy Pay should not be the default!

It would be easy for QVC to simply add BOTH options to the order page and allow the customer to click on their choice of payment type.

I don't see the way to make the choice unless I call Customer Service.  I'd also like to get out of automatic EP.

I assume the reason EZPay is the default method is that the vast majority of their customers use it when it's offered.

But when I don't want it, even on speed buy there's an edit option I have used.  I never leave any Internet website buying visit without checking over the purchase order, so I don't mind the edit process.  In fact, since someone is going to be inconvenienced, it makes sense that it's the smaller number of customers.  AS long as I get the option, I'm good.

I never use it my husband hates it. He has to wonder if they charged me too many times etc. It's easy enough to change the option when ordering.

I understand easy pay, I just don't feel I should have to opt out of it.

@Libbylady  You are offered the choice if you order online and when you order by phone if you stay on the phone long enough.

QVC needs to have the easy pay available on all products.

@dianeg

I do apologize for the inconvenience; however, Easy Pay is only the default method when using speed buy.
