I also don't think of the QVC forum as my source of news, do others?  I find it annoying to scroll past 3 notices that Tom Hanks has the virus.  Won't we know that on our regular news sites?

People who never bothered, need to read the board standards under "Welcome Get Started".  It's a violation to cross post messages....that is, to post the same msg under more than one forum.  Yet I see veterans with thousands of posts do it all the time.  It just puts a burden on the mods to have to delete them.

Why can't all Corona posts be on one thread?  That way there would not be a new thread for each piece of developing news. Everyone could still contribute.

Actually, since the BBs are not once they once were, I find 

single threads that are 10+ pages to be overwhelming to start.

Same topic posts are one of those “scroll by..nothing to see here”,

or perhaps, “hmmmmm......I enjoy this poster’s POV.”

I don’t find it a serious issue, myself.

This is not a big deal to me.  It's really easy to not open all of them. Maybe people don't want their post buried in a lengthy string.  Maybe they felt the other posts weren't really part of what they wanted to say.  Maybe people need to get it out of their system.  Either way, you can't control others but you can control what you read and don't read.

If someone wants to shout the latest Coronavirus news they sure aren't going to bury it on the 11th page of a thread which isn't directly labeled as this latest "news story."  It's the Town Crier syndrome.

They should make temporary forum the the virus info.  I come here to get away from all of it.  Its worming its way into all forums.  

That way people that want to read it can just go to one forum and not have to jump all over the place.  And those that do not want to read about it dont have to go there.

I stopped reading the ones about it.
