I see QVC is suggesting donations to the Red Cross for the recent Texas hurricane damage.  What about hooking up with a charitable group for the pets that need help also?

Re: Donations for Pets

[ Edited ]

There are several threads on pet charities here on the boards.  My Choice is the Houston SPCA as featured on the Animal Planet program Animal Cops Houston for their earlier hurricane rescue and work on getting cruelty cases prosecuted.

Best Friends Animal Society has deployed a team to Texas to rescue stranded animals.  They are accepting donations on their website.

@BuddyBoy2017 and @Mbayrikki-

Also Wings of REscue is a good one.

If you go to the pet lovers forum you will see a thread titled Animal Fund.

Click on that and you will get more suggestions if you want.

You can also go to charity navigator to check out the ratings for any charity.(except Wings of Rescue is not rated and they explain why).

Best Friends is absolutely a No Kill agency.    They did a lot of work in New Orleans back in 2005 and transported unclaimed animals to other States for adoption.  My brother adopted two pitbulls that were sent to AZ.

The Human Society of the United States was featured tonight on the news going door to door picking up pets that people had to leave behind.  Many owners granted permission to breakdown the door to get to their pets.

I was in tears.

Some organizations I gave to: SPCA of Texas, Houston Humane Society, Animal Defense League of Texas and Austin Pets Alive.
