Re: Do you think that people live in their pajamas??

From what I see out in the grocery stores, some people do apparently live in their pajamas!   Makes me crazy seeing people in the pajamas and slippers in the stores!

Re: Do you think that people live in their pajamas??

Out in public? The store, doctors office, library, vet, etc....Real clothes. Neat and real shoes or boots .

At home? I live alone with one cat.

I wear men's dark blue long underwear pants on the bottom, and a long sleeved cotton mock turtleneck and a sweatshirt on top.

The long undies of today last about five washings ( seriously) before the elastic waist no longer will hold up the pants, ( cheaply made, like so much today) so I clip them with one of those large binder clips. The main material holds up...the elastic is horrible).

The long sleeved mock turtlenecks...my employer gave us a clothing allowance each year ( due to the industry I worked in we were required to wear cotton clothing-no static buildup) so I have dozens of these shirts, many brand new, all made in USA.

. They are all black,, with company logo on them and are at LEAST 10-15 years old. The cotton shirts they made then were really much more well made than the see-thru ****** you buy today....)

Shower daily, change daily, and keep clean. My outfit keeps me warm when I'm in the house in winter, and IF someone were to come to the door, I would answer and say, with mock alarm...

"O come in!!! I was just about to change into my street clothes to go out!!!"

I do NOT take a chance of wearing my indoor comfy/shleppy clothes to the gas station just to get gas for the snow blower, or anyplace even where I'm relatively sure I don't have to leave the car. ( A drive in for coffee.....)

Because..... the "Othereen Axiom"  clearly states....

"IF the car you are in is going to get a flat or break down or you have an accident....it will be the ONE TIME you said "These clothes are good enough to go there....I don't have to get out and I won't be seen by anyone ...so who cares?!?!?!"

Dont' ask me how I know.

PS: My cat doesn't care what I wear as long as when I'm in it, I pay attention to her!

Guess they do cause I see pajama pants every day in the grocery store, etc.  slippers & a sweater complete the look.  And, they are not teenagers.

Outside the house I wear jeans and a colorfull print top.  Just can't get back into solids.  Around the house I wear one of these lounge outfits I got during Covid cheap on QVC or cheap at Walmart.  Ironically I have to sleep in cotton and spend $80.00 on nightgowns from Vermont Country Store.

Yes, Q sells way too much synthetic junk and clothes I wouldn't even want to be buried in. I won't wear all that polyester no matter what cutsie name it's given. And I can find what I want elsewhere for less money.

Besides, why does anyone care if someone lives in their PJs? It's none of our business.

When home I'm usually in "work clothes".  Meaning clothes I don't care of theyy get stained or ruined.  Sometimes I will wear loungewear but only if nowhere to go, nothing to do and staying home.  I do see my fair share of people wearing pajamas in stores, etc.  Even saw someone in a onesie and they were not a kid or teenager.  A week ago I saw a woman at Sam's Club.  Pajamas,  slippers and robe.

I try to be not far from my robe, in case an ambulance ever has to take me in to the hospital.  This is where my life has led me up to now. LOL

[ Edited ]

I wear a lot of lounge wear at home. Not always but some days ALL DAY.

I EARNED IT!  I dressed to the 9's and wore panty hose and worked 50 years.

No apologies from ME.
