Out in public? The store, doctors office, library, vet, etc....Real clothes. Neat and real shoes or boots .
At home? I live alone with one cat.
I wear men's dark blue long underwear pants on the bottom, and a long sleeved cotton mock turtleneck and a sweatshirt on top.
The long undies of today last about five washings ( seriously) before the elastic waist no longer will hold up the pants, ( cheaply made, like so much today) so I clip them with one of those large binder clips. The main material holds up...the elastic is horrible).
The long sleeved mock turtlenecks...my employer gave us a clothing allowance each year ( due to the industry I worked in we were required to wear cotton clothing-no static buildup) so I have dozens of these shirts, many brand new, all made in USA.
. They are all black,, with company logo on them and are at LEAST 10-15 years old. The cotton shirts they made then were really much more well made than the see-thru ****** you buy today....)
Shower daily, change daily, and keep clean. My outfit keeps me warm when I'm in the house in winter, and IF someone were to come to the door, I would answer and say, with mock alarm...
"O come in!!! I was just about to change into my street clothes to go out!!!"
I do NOT take a chance of wearing my indoor comfy/shleppy clothes to the gas station just to get gas for the snow blower, or anyplace even where I'm relatively sure I don't have to leave the car. ( A drive in for coffee.....)
Because..... the "Othereen Axiom" clearly states....
"IF the car you are in is going to get a flat or break down or you have an accident....it will be the ONE TIME you said "These clothes are good enough to go there....I don't have to get out and I won't be seen by anyone ...so who cares?!?!?!"
Dont' ask me how I know.
PS: My cat doesn't care what I wear as long as when I'm in it, I pay attention to her!
