The man is a bully.  Ordering the models and hosts to march around.  Makes me so mad that they have to take that ******.  He has no respect for women.  He has to go.  At least send him to sensitivity traning.

@baglady9.  He's not an employee, they can't MAKE him do anything.  I think after all these years everybody is used to him.  He isn't going anywhere.

Does anybody really think it's the decision of the model on how to display the product?

Dennis Basso makes a lot of money for QVC.  He is a famous designer who works with professional runway models every day, and he is the boss.

Yes, he has a big personality, and can be a little pushy and touchy-feely, but perhaps that is the way he had to act to become successful in the competitive fashion industry, especially up in NYC.

I agree that QVC staff have had to learn how to "manage" Dennis, but once they all know him they seem to enjoy working with him. I know several of the hosts asked him to design wedding gowns, and others have been invited to his fashion shows.

I am sure the models would love to be in Dennis' shows--that would probably be an honor and a coup in the fashion model world.

I see Dennis Basso with a different set of eyes than the OP.  His 30 plus years of success, not only at the Q but dressing some of the most beautiful, famous women in the world, does not happen without talent, persistence, and a strong personality.  He is a survivor in a tough business.  The models are under contract. They have a choice to say no to work with him. Regarding the statement he has no respect for women, I beg to differ.  I think he built his career on designing clothes to help women feel and look beautiful.  He says this over and over.  I simply find him joyfully passionate about his work.

I remember years ago, his TSV winter coats selling out quickly in certain sizes and colors.  My sister and I loved them and always looked forward to the TSV,

I decided to watch his HOME show the other night with Amy Strahn. He had vases, picks, urns and that is all I saw because he wasn't easy to watch running all over the set talking a mile a minute. He will never change but I can change the channel, which I did.

This OP would not last long backstage at a major designer show during Fashion Week!

Then she could see what really goes on with models, designers,  fitters.....

Could lead to a coronary.....

As usual,  much ado about absolutely nothingness.
