This may not be a popular request, but....I would like it if the poster's nic was left when comments are deleted. That way those who continuously post rude/mean comments could see for themselves how often they get their comments deleted and maybe would think before they post them. The rest of us could also see who is habitually posting mean comments and avoid posting with them, if they are indeed a habitual mean/rude poster. I have no desire to get in a debate with someone who is generally going to be hateful.

I imagine the person or persons writing hateful comments is aware of it.  All the Q  is doing is deleting them and then declaring, just in case someone is looking for replies.  It saves times in any case.  

 

It is their Forum and they have a right to protect their property making it a better place for all of us.

I doubt that any good would come from learning the identify of the person whose post was deleted.  Just possible ammunition for the future for some folks.

I think if names were left, those posters would not feel the embarrassment of being called out as mean (like most would) but would feel picked on by moderators. I can see the pity party threads now.
