And then how boring would these forums be... people would only be allowed to say, over and over, "I love QVC, I love QVC"... part of the fun is talking about the hosts. If you're so concerned about hurting their egos, don't be... they make such a fantastic living as sellers I doubt they could care less...

I hope nobody thinks she speaks for all of us as it truly is riduculous.

ONCE AGAIN- is it possible to make a distinction between "IT IS RIDICULOUS" and "I CANNOT POSSIBLY AGREE WITH ANYTHING IN THE STATEMENT!"
Both are motivated by strong feeling, but one is subjective, based on a word that means different things to different readers, and one is an absolute, specific unquestionable expression of one's OWN stance.
Comments phrased in one style CAN be objectionable, comments phrased in another way are not subject to question.
Take the quiz.

I'm going to be blunt and just come out and say it ... this is the dumbest ... or at least one of the dumbest suggestions ever to hit the suggestion box. Then to add insult to injury ... adding that only positive posts be allowed.
Oh, lordy ... this board is going to hell in a handbasket!

So where does it stop? We can't discuss politics or current events. We can't talk abaout the hosts and/or vendors. Then we can't talk about the merchndise, then what? And don't forget Customer Service. Are we fast reaching a point where there is really no reason for a QVC Board to even exist?
I remember one host who had a drop off line for every sentence. It was driving everyone nuts - and after lots of posts to that effect, she finally stopped! I see no reason to stop talking about the hosts. They represent QVC and they are the connection between the viewers and the company. I think the Board already has too many "don'ts". Take away a few more things and most of us would find it entirely too restrictive to bother coming here.
ITA! Great post. If all we can do is act as shills for a few vendors then I'm not interested. I miss the information and tips I use to get here. Most of the posters I enjoyed seem to have vanished with this new "improved" board. The "community" forum should be dropped I guess because the definition of "community" is....
"a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage."
If we can't discuss politics or current events then there is no reason for it to exist. THAT'S whar community is. The censorship is out of control. We don't need a nanny. Bring back the IGNORE button and posters can use it to filter out the nasty, snarky posters and still enjoy the nice, informative ones. A MUCH better solution IMHO.

Thank you for your suggestion.
At this time we will continue to allow comments regarding the hosts as long as the comments remain within QVC's Community Standards.
