Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

I look at reviews . however  you have to sift through them as  many are  people  furthering their platforms such as  Peta  or as many said  complaints abt Hosts or  problems with QVC shipping ect

There are  a few customers who do provide clear reviews that other customers might want to  read.

My complaint is that the section where you ask a question  goes unanswered by QVC for weeks and months , no help if you  need to make a decision on a limited special

Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

@Quse - This has been going on for years.  And years ago (many years ago), I actually wrote to Q's PTB and made the same points.  I also said how unfair it was to the individual vendors, when people gave one-star reviews saying things like "I would've ordered this, if they'd had it in the color I wanted."  Yes, an actual comment.

Result?  Nothing changed.

So after a while I wrote again.  Result?  Nothing changed.

I came to the conclusion that it's not worth their while to actually ensure that the reviews posted were about the product being reviewed and by a verified purchaser of that product.

Nothing has changed and I don't think it ever will.  Take the reviews with a very large grain of salt.

BTW, the "Report Inappropriate Review" option is useless.  Nothing will be done.  Don't waste your time.

Technically, they are NOT supposed to print reviews that reference shipping, cost, etc., but they always do. I also get peeved when someone gives it a 4- or 5-star rating and then writes a review that says they hate the product and don't recommend it. I don't think a person reads them. I think it is AI or some other decision-making program because the rules clearly state not to write reviews about other things. I have reported a couple since they really do impact the overall ratings, if that what people go by. At least they seem to have stopped printing the 5-star reviews for things like David's cookbooks that hadn't even been published or mailed yet. That really used to bother me.

@Lisa now in AZ that whole thing with David's cookbook being "customer top rated" when it hadn't even been printed was insane. Even David noted in his presentation that the copy he had on set was blank inside.

[ Edited ]

The reviews I get most annoyed with are those that didn't purchase the item/product.

I just happened to notice the 1st review for the latest LOGO TSV top set -  A702605

Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

I find fellow posters advice here on products more valuable than reviews.

I expect some valuable, helpful information from a review.

No good: for example, I loved the dress, it is very pretty, I wore it to church on Sunday!

Please tell if the dress fit well, if the shoes were well supported, the jewelry plated gold stayed gold, it ran large or small, et al.

I agree. A review should be a review of the actual item. I'd prefer that reviews are not accepted that complain about shipping, the vendor, the host, etc. Mostly I wish that people submitting reviews would understand that the purpose is for us to help one another. It's about caring about each other so that we can make informed purchases.

Shipping, vendor's handling. etc. matter to me so I like it when a review tells me about lousy shipping times and reliability/unreliability of vendors.

Reviews will never please everybody. For me, it's not worth my time to be upset about them.

Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

The reviews are not monitored for non-reviews.  I don't get why these commments are allowed.
