Complaints in the reviews sections

QVC- why do you allow and post anything other than reviews of the product in the "reviews" section? I just went to one vendor's product to see how people liked a recent TSV and there were several complaints not only of that vendor, but other vendors that have nothing to do with the product being reviewed?
Suggestion: post only reviews of THAT product and discard the rest. I look at the reviews to gauge whether or not to purchase a product I'm on the fence with, not read people's endless nit picking.
(I know, I know, I am complaining here, but, you'll note that it's not in the reviews section)

I agree. A review should be a review of the actual item. I'd prefer that reviews are not accepted that complain about shipping, the vendor, the host, etc. Mostly I wish that people submitting reviews would understand that the purpose is for us to help one another. It's about caring about each other so that we can make informed purchases.

this is why i do not buy based on reviews.

some silly useless opinions in some negative reviews.

ie;

it did not match my skirt i wanted to wear with it

the party was cancelled and i can no longer return this

i cannot use this food chopper because no receipes came with it

my neighbor did not like it

ups delivered this to wrong address

i sized up and it was too big

i sized down and it was too small

~~today may be my last.....i choose JOY!~~

@Quse @TheMemphisVette  Yes (!) to both of your posts. I am so irritated when someone posts "Make these in petites" (send the company an email or put it in Suggestion Box here), or "never arrived" (call Customer Service and find out what happened or again, post here under Customer Care), another favorite "I changed my mind". Unless you have a legitimate reason due to quality or workmanship, that smells of buyer's remorse and is not a review.

I also suggest to the ptb in their website design and I/T departments to add to the drop down menu under the Reviews the ability to SORT reviews, by "Verified Purchase".  I do not care if someone posted to Influenster because they were sent a FREE product, or TARTE has some of their paid influencers writing reviews on their site and they pull them over to Q. I want real QVC Customer reviews. This also assumes none of the jokers with their host, USPS, and other complaints noted here are included rendering the review scale useless.

Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

My pet peeve is two-fold; when someone who never received the product leaves a negative review. I don't get it. If they didn't receive the item, then that review should not be posted. Also, when reviewers take the time to post reviews (most are helpful reviews), I see the thumbs down sign 👎🏻. The reviews should be screened better. It can keep a buyer from purchasing an item that might be fantastic for them.

Reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt.  They are helpful but its a judgement call if you want to believe them or be bothered by them.... it's easy to skip over a silly complaint or comment.

I've seen some of the most idiotic complaints. Many times it's not even the items fault, but because the buyer is using the item incorrectly

@TheMemphisVette. I still see these to add to your list:

Never received the item

Arrived broken, wrinkled, box damaged etc.

Arrived late

(Doesn't help me with a purchase ?)

Re: Complaints in the reviews sections

Technically, they are NOT supposed to print reviews that reference shipping, cost, etc., but they always do. I also get peeved when someone gives it a 4- or 5-star rating and then writes a review that says they hate the product and don't recommend it. I don't think a person reads them. I think it is AI or some other decision-making program because the rules clearly state not to write reviews about other things. I have reported a couple since they really do impact the overall ratings, if that what people go by. At least they seem to have stopped printing the 5-star reviews for things like David's cookbooks that hadn't even been published or mailed yet. That really used to bother me.

Reviews are rarely, if ever, handled by human beings anymore. They are all run though an IT algorhythm.

I've never had an issue with complaints in reviews. It's easy for me to ignore or consider it if I'm thinking about buying something.
