Now that Christmas in July is finally over, I think QVC needs to cool it on the Christmas shows! There is still plenty of time to watch them; now is the time to be concentrating on Fall or Harvest, and possibly Halloween items. I'm starting to get burnt out on all of the Christmas ideas and we need to take one holiday at a time! I'm sure that there are alot of viewers who probably feel the same way, cause I do know that women especially love fall.

I agree @theQshopper. Bring me Christmas in the winter, where it belongs....

Let me help you out here...
1. People who take their holiday decorating seriously begin to plan their designs as early as July.
2. People who enjoy casual decorating will begin to focus on purchasing gifts rather than decor as the holidays approach, therefore it makes more sense for QVC to target decor shoppers earlier on in the year.
3. Selling products earlier than appropriate is nothing new when it comes to retail. In the fashion world, there are two seasons: Spring and Fall. Spring is linked with Summer and Fall is linked with Winter in terms of collections. January through June is the Spring (Summer) season, and July through December is Fall (Winter) season. So, just like you usually see bathing suits in the department store in January, it is perfectly normal to see winter coats in the department store in July. It's just the way the retail business works.

I think we'll be seeing Christmas, well...until Christmas when shortly after everything Christmas will be gone, and we'll be into losing weight and Valentine's Day!

I never watch Christmas shows. To me, they're as boring as watching paint dry.

I agree. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I enjoy decorating, baking, and all that but each season has its own beauty and holidays and fall/harvest is the longest stretch of all. I start putting autumn stuff up and change my flags on Labor Day weekend and it stays up until Thanksgiving weekend when the Christmas decorating starts. I tune into a few Christmas shows in the summer and may make a purchase (actually 2 this year) but it gets old and I want to see the autumn decor highlighted.

QVC isn't doing any Halloween shows (a few pieces here and there) anymore. And they have narrowed harvest down to about one day (again with just a few shows and items sprinkled in here and there after that).
How about we try to reach a compromise QVC? For every Susan Graver hour throughout the year, we get an hour of fall decor, and an hour of Christmas decor?
It would only be fair to even things out a bit, now wouldn't it?

I agree that they most definitely need to cool it on the Christmas shows.
I disagree with your statement, though, about women especially loving fall. That's a very general statement. There are certainly many women who prefer the other seasons, myself incuded.
