Vionic - your shoes are good and they definitely serve a purpose....I have several sandals.  However, anymore, your prices are so out of site....the suede lace up A287628 is so darn precious - would love them but for $119.95, absolutely no way.  Why are you pricing your shoes out of the normal middle class price range?  Come on Vionic, stop insulting the ladies with these prices.  I also have bought several slippers and sandals for my daughter and granddaughter but with your current price ranges.....no more.....you loose a good customer.

However, I cannot blame you 100% because QVC has jacked up prices to high....I'm sure to pay for the half million dollar annual salaries for your hosts.  Good luck going forward Vionic.

It's probably a simple mold they use for each size - that can't cost much - it's not like they are re-inventing the footbed with every pair they make - you're right - but to me their prices were always ridiculous for what you get.

I agree!  Most of their footwear isn't even leather.  When it is leather, it's really cheap leather.  I've tried them twice.  The foot beds are hard as a rock.  They are really a cheaply made line of shoe that's overpriced for the cheap materials they use.  Many often look cheap.

It isn't just Vionic... the price of leather shoes have skyrocketed and the Q is making sure that their brands are keeping pace.  When Vionic came out, they were just starting to sell in Dillards.  I tried on a pair and yeoww... no way are they for me, but besides that, the price for what was being offered blew me away.  I thought (aside from the orthotics) that they were made with junky materials (this is just my opinion) as I love really well made, high quality leather shoes and the ones sold in the beginning weren't even leather....

But yes, the prices for shoes (anywhere) have become outrageous...

Re: COME ON VIONIC........

Keep your eyes on Zulily as the frequently have them featured and they're usually in the $40-50 range.

I just got Zulily to accept a pair back because the ones I ordered turned out to be men's shoes but they weren't marked as such.  Good looking Vionics too; a loafer style of heavy canvas in a natural color.  Actually, they refunded my money, gave me a $10 credit and told me to donate the shoes.  They were $41.

Actually, Alegria is my orthopedic shoe of choice, and Zulily often has them on sale too.

I love my vionic sandals.  I always buy from 6pm.  Free shipping, receive them in about 2 days, and best of all they're at least $20.00 cheaper.

Have been stalking the high tides in black.  Waiting for a sale~~~~

Not to go off topic, but Clarks have really gone up too - most of the ones I like are in the $100 range

I own two pairs of Vionic sandals that I bought about about two years, think they were a TSV. Same style but different colors. Love them and so do my feet. Still look brand new and I wear then almost everyday during the Summer. The prices are crazy now. Just glad I bought them when I did.

Maybe all the overseas manufacturers of those shoes upped the prices.

I have 6 pairs of Vionic. I did not had any major issues with them.

One of the last TSV - the booties in suede deteriorated after just a few (count less than 7 wearings). The heel rubbed during driving, only to uncover white plastic underneath the black heel. I went to cobbler, colored it. It rubbed off within 3 days. The stains on the suede could not be removed. Oh, and heels are made from white plastic, and they slip when you walk!!! I fell twice in orthotic vionic shoes on the flat surface. I wrote to Vionic rep, he said he will contact me, and did not respond back. I contacted QVC and they were great. The problem is, they sell winter styles in summer, and summer styles in winter. You have the shoes for 3-4 months before you are able to wear it. I would not buy, nor recommend this brand to anyone, inspite the fact I did not have problems with their sandals.
