When I write here on the forums, even when I have clicked on the "bold text" option, after one line the text format automatically switches back to non-bold?

Question:

Is the internet runnng out of space?

Will QVC get charged extra by their internet provider if people use up space by choosing to write in "bold text"?

It feels "chintzy" to me as if QVC cannot afford internet space.   I wish QVC would step in and change this.

Spoiler

None of the above.

I write what I want and then go back, select the word/s to be bold, and then click on Bold.

No expert, but I would think all the uploaded images are a much bigger user of storage.

Compared to the Q's online "catalog", I doubt the forums take up much internet space.

I have had that happen with font sizes from time to time but not with bolding the text. I really wish we could set a text size in our profile and that it would follow thru.

@LTT1 - What you're describing is actually pretty typical in a lot of coding systems. Most people do not put large blocks of text in bold font (it's not a best practice), so the system tries to "help" by interpreting a hard return as the end of the block of text that needed to be emphasized.

If you really want all of your text to be in bold, follow what @CalminHeart noted and select everything in your post and apply the bold font after you're finished typing. But for what it's worth, it's not particularly nice to read bold text; if you're doing this to make it easier for yourself to read what you wrote, perhaps you could increase the font size a bit instead? That way, bold font is saved for what it is meant to be used for: emphasis of something especially important in a block of text.

@We rescue cats - Out of curiosity, did you adjust the font in your post above when you wrote it? I'm just wondering because my posts are always in the same font from the last post I composed, and I see a similar trend from some other posters who always happen to have posts in a very large font or in a colored font. Perhaps the system is retaining your font preference (or what it thinks it is based on what you wrote previously) and you just don't realize it? Compare the font size in my post vs yours as an example.

@LTT1.  That doesn't happen to me.  It stays on bold until I take it off.  It must be your computer.
