Just the other day, I experienced this!  I tried about 4 or 5 different items that I was really excited about and when I went to order, I got that message - about - just missing it!  I spent a lot of time going through pages of things and then nothing.  I agree about quite a lot of items still being priced really high, at least I think so.  On the positive, I have in the past gotten several items at a really good price that I have been very pleased with.  Yes, I wish they could come up with a better system to delete items that are no longer available.

I'm giving up on As Is.   Last three items purchased were broken.

Keep in mind that any "As Is" item that you receive, which is defective (broken, doesn't work, clearly used/dirty clothing) can be returned without being charged for the return shipping and original shipping is refunded also.

I've bought so many "As Is" items over the years and I think I've only ever had to return one or two items for those reasons.

Often, I've managed to get something I wanted that had sold out in regular stock.

But I agree with the OP.  Lately almost every time I've put an item in my cart and tried to check out, I get the "Just Missed It!" message.  Beyond irritating.

I've had great success with As Is items. There were a few items that showed available until I went to check out. I discovered they were always items that were listed very cheap, like $5-10.

As far as I'm concerned, I kind of welcome people stating they will no longer purchase As Is items, more for me. Woman Very Happy Many of these items are very limited, having only 1 or 2 so that gives me a better opportunity to get a chance to make that purchase. I do wish they were a little cheaper. Many items I receive are brand new or like new. But, for the items truly a return, I think there should be a better discount.
