Could you find a way to permanently ban posters instead of letting them repeatedly come back as other nics?

Could you find a way to ensure that each poster has one nic instead of several nics?

Those are ALL things that the other 99.999% of boards in internetland would do. But they seem to have a problem with technology here and cannot seem to figure out how to do these things.

BTW, unfortunately, for a lot of us the 'report inappropriate' button doesn't work anymore.

This morning I started a thread in the Beauty section about this but it was poofed almost instantly.

I started the thread to let people know that they might want to check the dates on the last post before they respond to a thread because so many have recently been bumped up by that "foot" troll. Of course if they want to respond to a 3-month-old thread, that's totally fine, but I'm just seeing lots of people taking the time to write really thoughtful, helpful replies to questions that had been resolved months ago, and I feel badly that people are perhaps unknowingly wasting their time, especially when recent questions have gone without reply because they've gotten buried before people have had a chance to help out. So many posters here are really helpful and generous with their time and knowledge, and I thought it would be helpful of me to just point out the issue we've had with the troll bumping up old threads so that their generosity wouldn't be wasted.

Anyway, I can't see anything wrong with what I posted, but it was poofed immediately.
