Hey!   I live in Des Moines.  It's not the hick town you might think.   It's funny.  You reminded me of a boyfriend I had in the 70s.  He grew up in Long Island and Manhattan.  He was concerned when his employer transferred him to Des Moines because he thought it was a hick town and corn fields.  He was surprised at how much it was like NYC, just not as large.  It still is.

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

These threads on the forum make me laugh, I think of them when people whine about how 'entitiled' and self-centered and lacking in manners the younger generations are, lol!

So, a company should stop selling a product that makes them a lot of money, just because you don't happen to like it? And then the ugly comments about other people. You may think you are stylish and sophisticated, but a real lady would never speak or write of others that way.

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

It's kind of sad that some of you don't understand that you don't have to layer up these pieces.  That is what Lori does on herself and they often do it with the models but you can wear one piece.  I own a few pieces of LOGO and I don't wear them together nor do I wear them with anything else in my closet.  I wear them alone.

Why does it matter that you don't see anyone (which I find hard to believe) wearing this type of clothing?  Do you want to follow what everyone else is doing?  Some of you act as if LOGO is the only brand that does these type of garments.  They are everywhere from mart type stores to boutique stores and everywhere in between.

I have a few of the hi-low hem tops and sharkbite hem tops in my wardrobe and I love them.  Do I care if anyone else is wearing that style?  Nope.  Do I want an entire closet full of this stuff?  Nope.  Do I like all of the styles?  Nope.

But everyone has the right to wear what they like, what they think flatters them and what they are comfortable in and they shouldn't be made fun of for it.  I'm sure some of you wear some clothing that others don't care for or find questionable.

MOST of us don't live in New York.  And MOST of us really don't care what people wear in New York.  Their lifestyle oftenhas little in common with MOST of the country.  People in New York probably don't do the yard work a lot of us do; don't have the heat most of us have; don't deal with the mud; don't walk out to the mailbox and get the paper; don't have a big yard they can enjoy; don't get in the car to run a quick errand; and many other things that make our lives different.

I live in New York.  I do yard work, it's very hot in the summer months, we get mud when it rains, and my mailbox is at the end of the driveway, I have a yard -- not big -- but I enjoy planting flowers and my husband has raspberry bushes and we have rhubarb.  I drive everyday to work and home and down to the store for groceries.  There's an entire area of New York other than NYC.  There are hills, mountains, and valleys and rivers.

But the OP said she lives in NYC.

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

I have mixed feelings about Lori's items.  On the one hand, I have always liked wearing that kind of loose tunic top with jeans.  Even 40 years ago, I was finding them in ethnic shops that sold long, peasant type skirts, etc. So, I have ordered a few of them, 3 or 4 I guess. I like the soft, stretchy fabric and as some other posters have mentioned, the colors are so soft and subtle, something most other QVC lines don't offer.

On the other hand, I don't see that I personally need more than a few of these in my wardrobe, and Lori's items are all pretty much the same.  Mostly variations in the trim, and not much else different.  I wondered how in the world would she sustain an hour long weekly show, but apparently the stuff is selling like hot cakes, because she's getting even more air time now on weekends.

As long as they are selling and people are buying, her shows will continue.  I'm thinking when buyers get their fill, which will happen eventually, she will have to come up with something new and different or lose her air time.

I do agree with the posters who complain about her repetitive adjectives....it is so extreme it's almost funny.  Like someone else, I was tempted to count the number of times "amazing" was used, just for my own curiosity.  I laugh when the she describes one of these tops as "everything".  What in the world?

I like the tops, though.  Just saying that for me, a few suffice.  If people love them and want to collect lots of them, that's their business. I can understand it, since I go overboard sometimes with purchases when I like something.

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

I wear Logo. I have never in my life before this had so  much fun with my clothes mixing and matching the pieces I own. It is good to step out of the  box and try something new. You should try it. I am. I see clothes like this all the time and I live in a small farming community. It's nice to see something instead of t shirts and jeans all the time. New York must be pretty boring if people all dress the same.

While I agree regarding the design and fit and only own two or three pieces.... the obvious reason is that the QVC customer loves the line and purchases a lot of it.  It's got nothing to do with anything other than numbers.  As soon as the line starts losing momentum in sales.... it'll be phased out.  It's just business.....

I also agree that Lori's adjective library could use a good thesaurus.....  I've only seen one lady at the grocery store wearing LOGO... recognized it immediately and it looked great on the lady (tall, thin, etc.) so I told her so!  But I live in a small town where I can see shopping channels and mail order doing a huge business.  (I see D & B TSV's walking around all the time... lol!  Including me!)  Woman LOL

One other thing.... I really don't understand how personal this becomes with chatters here.  If you love it, that's great... enjoy!  If you don't so much.... don't buy.  It's the wonderful choice we have. However, let's not run down those that love it.... nor run down those that don't.  Personal choice is still a freedom out there.... wait... what day is today??  j/k Woman Wink

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

I have to say I have ordered some of Lori's tops in the past and sent them back. However, recently I have taken a like to her tops and now have 3 tops and one cardigan. I think these are really the only thing I can wear with my leggings, jeggings, etc. I love the muted colors. So maybe I am the only one in CT with Logo tops at least my bum is covered when I wear leggings which I also love.

Re: Amazing! Incredible! Enough!

I never posted before,  but,  after having wandered into this thread,  I felt compelled.

Born & bred Manhattanite. Nope,  even with layering, I've seen only one person over the age of 10 wearing a Logo-like top.

I think the colors are gorgeous; the designs are hideous at worst,  nonexistent at best. The clothes,  especially the tops,  are what toddlers & elementary school girls wear. Goldstein has a fabulous sense of color and zero sense of design. Her tops remind me of Raggedy Ann. She just throws scraps of material together- usually very badly.

But,  what I really wanted to say was that I find the negative comments about NYC offensive;  the need to be a "lady" misogynistic, dated, and idiotic;  but,  MOST EGREGIOUS, the nasty comment about the "type" of people who wore Logo & posted pictures on FB.  I'm the last person to clutch my pearls,  but,  that comment was really nasty.
