I read those reviews.  Has Jill ever said anything that caused others to be offended?  My word, some of the reviews are extremely harsh and unwarranted.

How about one saying the sherpa fabric reminded her of a dog with mange and shamed her for selling such a thing.

HA!  I think the jacket is rather classy.  While I don't like sherpa at all, I like this very soft fabric.  Time will tell whether it holds up as I expect.

I'd rather stab myself than go to Costco.

I wonder who owns this line? Gilly was owned by QVC. The line is probably owned by Q and Martin works for Q as creative director for the line.

While the OP may think the Sherpa jacket currently on sale at Costco is superior I don't agree. I see a difference in style, patterns, and length. Difference that many may feel is worth the higher price. How wonderful that we have choices.

Love Costco and the great finds there.

I have never been to a Costco, and I have no idea what they sell, including clothes.  But I do know cheaper clothes than QVC can be purchased anywhere, but that does NOT mean they are better!

I bought this top last year when it was still GILI, and I bought a few more for gifts.  Although it is cozy and snuggly, I am a bit overwhelmed at the bulkiness of the design, and I find it quite huge.  I think I like my clothes a little more fitted.

I do not know what is meant by "defective goods"--style designs are choices, not defects.  LL Bean clothes are too country casual for me--I like a bit more high fashion city styles.  I just looked at a pretty cashmere sweater at NM on sale for $400.00--I cannot remember the original price, but I cannot really say ANY clothes at QVC have inflated prices.

Did you see it in person? The sherpa jacket at COSTCO is EXCELLENT quality. A lot of their clothing items are made by REAL designers, and the prices are a LOT BETTER than the OVERPRICED clothing at QVC.

Even LLBean (which is higher than the big box stores), would have better quality for lower prices than you do.

The only thing I don't like about LLBean and Lands End is their catalogues--they're so confusing. But their merchandise is good quality and even though a bit pricey, usually woth it.
