Re: A Suggestion Box

[ Edited ]

@febe1I DID write a suggestion to the Suggestion Box once. As soon as I posted it, one of the QVC Mods sent it directly to QVC! She thought it was that good. That's when I decided, "Why bother with the Suggestion Box?" Ultimately, many other posters liked it; some didn't, of course. In the end, nothing happened with my suggestion!  But, I found out that even the Moderators are watching and if they like a suggestion, they forward it to the appropriate department. Thus, I now email directly to QVC.

Suggestion box is not for complaining, but helping QVC improve their product or service. It's a suggestion place. No complaints! Perhaps that's why your comments have been deleted?

I would like to see size 12 in new tennis shoes.  You had some on your show this week but only to 11

I think too many posts are deleted too.  However, there are a a few issues with leaving all posts on the forums.

1. Some people are just plain mean and bash rather than offer constructive criticism.   Before I wrote this post, there was one on this string.

2. Many criticisms that have been posted are about trivial things....pronunciation, hairstyles, clothes worn by host or guest,  place settings set-up, new hosts who are still learning, and such.

3. There is a give and take to all suggestions and every business has to weigh the pros and cons as well as the cost/benefit analysis.

4. Some suggestions are for the individual and not for the whole.  A business cannot operate that way.

5. Common sense isn't so common these days.

But I still think too many posts are deleted.  But it isn't my call.  This is Q's private website and they can decide to do what they want with it.

It's all in the wording.  To state that a host is spending too much time wanting to just talk nonsense stuff and wanting to place a personal order and have fun rather than consistently giving needed product information is a complaint worth stating but often there are also nasty comments about the host that turns it into bashing and not just a constructive criticism.  Stating a post to rant about poster's personal opinion of a host's clothing , hair, makeup, pronounciation issues , narcicistic personality (as determined by poster) etc is just that - a bashing rant and not constructive criticism.   A legitimate suggestion is not stated with subjective personal  dislikes of a host (often over and over) but something that could be helpful to the selling of QVC's products.

QVC, please let go of Martha and other overexposed hosts with their own shows. If I wanted to watch them I would...and their product is already available.  Stop looking for more celebrities.  I am tired of them, and so are others.
