To me, a Suggestion Box is a comment from a customer to the proprietor. It's bizarre that customers comments would be blocked.
It's akin to a B&M store going thru all the suggestions and eliminating those that are not for the proprieter's eyes. A proprietor should want to see everything from their customers, especially the good, bad and the ugly.
I would think QVC would be against being denied the Suggestion Box opinions. What can that mean, except the company does not want to hear anything negative from customers.
It would be better to not have a Suggestion Box that is compromised. And yes, I undersstand it is their forum!

Maybe the suggestion box could somehow be changed so that a suggestion could be submitted but other posters would not see it and could not comment on it. That way both the positive and negative suggestions could be sent and it would only be read by someone at the Q.

I guess the hosts are perfect, and there is no need for improvement in their presentations. If you even try and provide constructive criticism you are told you are host bashing and poofed. If QVC is that thin skinned they shouldn’t even have a suggestion box only a praise box.

I think it's more likely if the PTB make changes here they'll completely eliminate the Community because of all the complaining, ignoring terms of use, pushing the limits etc.
Other sites (Amazon did that for example) have closed their forums and boards in favor of Facebook where at least the suggestions and complaints are tied to for the most part actual names, people not using anonymous nicks.

It seems comments that aren't positive for some hosts are censored before other hosts. I feel we should be be able to state our views without moderators censoring what is posted. All their hyper-censoring proves is some hosts, or their followers, have thin skins. It doesn't make the posts any less true. When a company censors comments, it makes them far less trustworthy, in my opinion. Other posters are free to post opposing views, that is what a forum is all about. It's not a "only post the positive" type of format. I doubt QVC will ever evolve to this type of format. Right, or wrong, these are my thoughts.

Totally false to say they don't allow negativity or the good, bad and ugly. All the different forums have negative critical posts. Every day. "Suggestions" by people hiding behind fake names on boards where there are shills, trolls and so on who could even create alternate accounts to support themselves don't carry much weight. Look at the "suggestions" that get poofed --- I think they look more like the old "slam books". Posters don't really want to post in a reasonable constructive suggestion box. They want a Slam Book forum.

ITA. At this rate the petulant foot stomping will get us what other boards have: a notice of the effective date when the boards will be shut down. The Mods will move to full time Customer Service and the Q's Facebook. Buh-bye forums, your days are numbered. We'll have ourselves to thank for its demise.

@febe1If not happy with the Suggestion Box, why not write an email directly to QVC? It will be directed to the proper department and no one will delete your comments. What's the problem with using the direct approach with QVC? I do it frequently with positive and negative comments and/or suggestions.

My point is what's the use of a Suggestion Box forum?

@febe1 I absolutely agree with your comment. Why have a suggestion box if suggestions are deleted. You would think qvc would use this board to their advantage. Bashing a host is one thing but explaining why we don't watch a particular host is another. I think saying that they aren't giving out the information, shopping for themselves, talking about family are legitimate compaints. I would love to hear an explanation from a mod but that will never happen. I for one speak with my wallet and have stopped buying..
