Laura Duffek is one of the best hosts on home shopping TV. She has been dropped from Shop HQ, formally Evine. I hope QVC gets a chance to interview her. She is terrific and she belongs on shopping TV.

I agree. She was a great vendor rep for Tiffany, I think, and others and would be an improvement over many hosts that are currently on.

I don´t know who she is but if by some change she ends up here, after a few months she will be the talk of the town, acting just like the others. A man is known by the company he/she keeps.

QVC had a couple of hosts leave, then there were several hosts fired. It does not make sense to hire new hosts at QVC.

@maximillian I agree but they did the same thing on HSN a while back. It doesn't make any sense.

I agree....but...i felt they kept a certain "type" and"style"

and "personality" of the hosts that they kept on the payroll....so i wouldn't be surprised if they did hire some new faces........younger, slicker, self absorbed.

Laura Duffek repped Cozelle also, I believe. I hope she lands somewhere, her voice is soothing to me.

I cannot imagine QVC hiring hosts. They still have some who are only working an hour or 2 as it is now.

Don't know what is happening with ShopHQ, but they let go of a lot of good people and kept some I don't like at all, so I don't watch it at all anymore. Laura Duffek wasn't a host very long after they moved her up from Cozell rep, but she was the only reason I watched the Cozell shows. Someone else mentioned that QVC is getting rid of hosts and going with "a type" with the replacements and I unfortunately agree to a point. They also seem to be following HSN's lead on some website updates and possibly HR too because some longtime hosts have become more professional recently and I can watch them.
