I would love to spend a day behind the scenes at QVC. Maybe I am overthinking but it has to be a massive undertaking. From the buyers selecting merchandise and determining quantities they think will be needed, to the program planning, scheduling models and hosts, getting all of the product samples gathered and organized and onto the sets. Imagine the many hurdles that have to be overcome every day. ( Products that don't arrive, key employees out sick, cameras, lighting that fail, etc.) I know we have seen a few sneak peeks now and then. It would be great if instead of slides with promos, we could see the shot of the products waiting to be rolled out and the crew getting the product on set, models rushing to get in place, etc.  I think I remember seeing the model's clothing lineup and the stylist that helps them on some little sneak peek segment. I would love an open mike on what the producer is saying to the host. I can't walk and chew gum so I can't imagine someone talking in my ear while I am presenting. The warehouse could make for an interesting segment. Maybe the tours showed all of this but geography will prevent most of us from getting there.

Re: A Day in the life of QVC

They used to give TOURS, to see exactly what you are describing.  A friend of mine and I took the tour a few years ago.  It was fun.  I met Susan Graver and Sharon Faestch, a former host.  Everyone was quite pleasant.  Afterwords they gave us a substantial "goody bag," and we had a chance to shop in the attached store.

How fun and what an experience!

My idea would be very similar to that. Do a day long promotion and show the behind the scenes. Start at 6:00 am and conclude at midnight. No slides for segways, just scenes. As many cutaways as they do in a day, the time for this is there. Maybe follow one item start to finish. Begin with a drone shot and show the campus. End at midnight at the warehouse shipping an item that was presented that day.

QVC's recent security changes in August 2019, ending the studio tours, closing the studio store and the hire of ex-FBI Calixto Vasquez to head their security department, may impede your plans to visit QVC. They also no longer have the studio audience seating, which was replaced with the new sets (and yellow chairs) that debuted September 30, 2020.
