@Spurt  - LOL - your posts always crack me up!  Didn't even know that with the hair.

Your sister has to be having a fit with that Giants game thus far!  Sheesh!

@PARedbird

I watch the local game with the sound muted, and then listen to The Tim Sports Show on You Tube---Tim is a long time Redskin fan and does a terrific job with the play by play broadcast, and of course all the fans in chat add to the fun, and there's a rousing pre-recorded chorus of "HAIL TO THE REDSKINS" fight song played whenever we score!....Its a lot of fun.  Early on in chat people were making fun of the Giants----as it looked like another lopsided loss--- and my sis commented with numerous  texts to my phone!!---but surprisingly the Giants came back, but now their main running back is hurt!!!

Interesting year because a lot of the favorite contenders lost---Bengals, Chargers, Lions.........and the Super Bowl Chiefs lost their first game and only scored 17 points in their 2nd game.......

The Giants won! SPURT, your sister must be happy.

Washington is making a comeback against the Broncos.

 RB Zack Moss got 88 yards in his debut. He was out last week because of concussion protocol. The Colts had 6 sacks on the Texans. Thanks to the Eagles and Jaguars for letting us sign Gardner Minshew! This was a good day.

@teganslaw

I always thought Minshew was interesting QB....

Yep, my sis is very happy...she kept texting me the Giants would come back ---although I had my doubts whether she really believed it---lol---but they did!  But if they lost Barkley for a good amont of time they're in trouble!

Re: Week Two of the 2023 NFL Regular Season!!!

woooohoooooo it was a good day in baltimore for sports!

orioles win (and have clinched a playoff spot) and the ravens win......a double delight day! it was nice to beat the bengals in their own house! loved how lamar is really using different receivers and passing the ball around a lot more. also nice to see mark andrews back! OBJ went out with an ankle injury, but it is supposedly not serious......we shall see. rookie zay flowers is proving that he was a good pick and a good fit with baltimore!

the washington game was even MORE exciting once washington began coming back from their deficit. fun game to watch! congrats @Spurt .....2 and 0 is a nice place to be to start out the season.

Parsons is a modern-day version of Lawrence Taylor. He's going to cost Jerry Jones a lot of money. That was a bad matchup for the Jets. They have a bad o-line and Parsons is a beast. I thought the Jets defensive guys played a bit rougher than necessary. They seemed to be trying to hurt the Cowboys instead of tackle them. We'll have to see if the league imposes any fines on them.

Congrats on the Raven win!---great job!!!

If Washington had made those 2 FGs that they missed we fans wouldnt have been biting our nails at the end .WHEW!!...glad we didnt have to go into overtime! So very happy to be at 2-0. the come back in this game was amazing ---the coaches made some good adjustments at half time. New owner Josh Harris is our good luck charm......

Sean Payton didnt even shake Ron Rivera's hand.....what a jerk!

There was a dirty hit on Washington's TE Logan Thomas by Broncos safety Kareem Jackson, who was fined for a hit in the team's season-opening loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last week, and today was also ejected from the Washington/Bronco game. I wonder if he's facing not only a fine, but also a suspension......

In last week's Washingto/Cardinal's game there were also dirty hits by Cardinal players too which resulted in fines, especially the one on Sam Howell cost the player $18,000.(Nick Gates retaliated for the hit on his QB, shows teammates like Sam and want to stick up for him, Gates got fined too)...and @gardenman you mention Jet players trying to hurt guys instead of tackling them.......IS THIS A TREND?

A pretty interesting ending to the Broncos/Commanders game with a completed Hail Mary then just missing on the two point conversion. A little defensive pass interference there, but they got away with it.

@gardenman

 there were a few questionable calls that the Broncos got too....like a roughing the passer call, and whether 2 feet were inbounds on a catch.....and offense holding by Denver on Chase Young that wasn't called...

Re: Week Two of the 2023 NFL Regular Season!!!

Some fun games on Sunday. I get the impression the Cards' GM called the sidelines to remind them that the Cards are supposed to be tanking this year for that first-overall pick in the draft. That would help explain the turnaround in that game.

The Bengals are in big trouble. Joe Burrow reinjuring his calf isn't good. The original injury was four, five, six weeks ago? For it to recur this quickly means it wasn't fully healed. How long will it take to heal this time? They'll probably need to park him until it's fully healed this time. Can they? Will they? We'll have to see.

Saquon Barkley's x-rays were negative which means the ankle wasn't broken, but a broken ankle can heal faster than a bad sprain. He certainly didn't look happy about it, and he's been hurt enough to know a major injury from a tweak. The Giants' defense has given up the most points in the entire NFL so far in 68 points over two games. They need to fix that and with the Niners coming up on Thursday...

The Cowboys should cruise to a 4-0 start with games against the Cards and Patriots coming up before they run into the Niners, who should also be 4-0 with games against the Giants and Cards coming up. That game on October 8th should be fun to watch.

The Chargers need to wake up their defense. They've given up the most points in the AFC so far this year. Their Kellen Moore offense has scored 58 points in two games so they're doing okay on offense, but they've given up 63 points.

The Chiefs don't look "right". It could just be the early season stuff of getting used to playing as a team and they'll gel as the season goes on. We'll have to see. They don't look as dominant as is normal for them so far.

A couple more games tonight and week two will be done.

Yes, I'll admit that Micah Parsons is "all world" but the Cowboys offense is another story....as one local guy put it...."They are efficient but they can't get touchdowns!"
