Chase Young has been cleared by the doctors and will play for Washington against the Broncos......glad to hear that  since Bronco WR Jerry Jeudy is expected to play Sunday

Re: Week Two of the 2023 NFL Regular Season!!!

I haven't been on this site in many months but thought I'd check in. Sure this Cowboy's fan hasn't been missed (ha!) but @Spurt I don't think I'm one of the "intolerable" fans who already have us in the Super Bowl.  Of course the game against the Giants was an incredible win, but it's just one win and it's a long season.  Anything can happen, but at this point it's hard not to be excited about the possibilities of going far this year, and I guess at this point no one can say the Cowboys aren't one of the legitimate chances to go far in the playoffs if they continue to play well.  It was hard to tell what the offense is really capable of when playing in a game where it was raining all of the time.  But the defense is the real deal. Anyway, time will tell. And speaking of time, the reason I haven't been on here even to read comments in a long time is that my husband was hospitalized in March with double pneumonia which led to kidney problems and then dialysis.  It all became too much for his heart and he went into cardiac arrest and was unable to be resusitated.  After 41 days in the hospital he lost his battle, and he had fought so hard as he wanted to live so much.  Sure miss watching the Sooners and Cowboys games with him as well as all of the other things in life we did together...

Im so sorry to hear about your husband's passing.  My heatfelt condelences and prayers of comfort go out to you.

I know there are actually a FEW realistic Cowboy fans out there and you appear to be one of them.....Micah Parsons is outstanding on defense.....It will be interesting to see what happens in the NFC Easrt this year!  My sisters Giants looked pathetic!!!......

Re: Week Two of the 2023 NFL Regular Season!!!

The Eagles had signed linebacker Rashaan Evans to the practice squad last week and after just a few days on the roster, he's now asked to be released, so the Eagles released him. He thinks he'll have a better opportunity elsewhere. It sounds like another team has been in contact with him (tampering?) and he's got a better offer elsewhere. Kind of odd in that an NFL team could just sign him from the Eagles practice squad if they wanted him. Weird. Maybe he's going to a Canadian team or the USFL?

It looks like Eagles' nickel cornerback Avonte Maddox is done for the year with a torn pectoral muscle. That's typically a six-month or longer recovery time, so he's done for this year. One of the kids will have to step up and take on a bigger role.

With the Eagles having played on Thursday, this is a relatively stress-free weekend for me. I find myself in the odd position of having to root for the Cowboys to win since they're my pick this week in the survivor pool. I won't be devastated if they lose though. It's nice not having to be stressed out on a Sunday.

So what's up with this feud between AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts...supposedly they are best friends, but AJ wants the darn ball....but doesnt he understand the passing game wasnt working so the team went to a ground and pound game which enabled them to move the ball down the field and get scores........sounds a tad selfish, incentives in his contract perhaps????  The Eagles dont want nor need a divided locker room

Re: Week Two of the 2023 NFL Regular Season!!!

@Spurt

There's not a wide receiver in the league who doesn't think he's always open and wants the ball. I think AJ was more frustrated with Hurts taking sacks or running for a short or no gain rather than throw the ball to him. AJ is one of those receivers who will rip the ball away from a defender given the chance.

Hurts is being a little too safe with the ball this year. Trust the receivers to make the play for you. Jalen's been a bit "off" this year. I don't know if he's dinged, worried about making mistakes, or what, but he's not playing at a high level now. Last year he'd throw the ball to AJ when all else failed even if AJ was double covered. This year he's taking the sack or running instead of giving the receivers a chance.
