Oh boy, really torn between Cleveland/Pittsburgh this week.  Live in Ohio and feel close to Clev and Cinci,  but have always been a Pitt fan.  I really want to see Pickett rise as a terrific QB for Pitt and follow in Ben's shoes, but that's a lot to ask, I guess.

I really want to see Pitt get rid of Canada.  He's not doing anything for the team.  Detroit got rid of him.  Don't see why Tomlin wanted him.

So.........I will watch and accept what happens.  I just hope it's a good game!

A rare stress-free Sunday for me as the Eagles played and won on Thursday. I'll just sit back, nibble on some peanut M&Ms, and watch whichever games are showing. Even next Sunday is stress-free as the Eagles play on Monday night next week. It's weird going from a Thursday game to a Monday game ten/eleven days later, but whatever. It's a good stretch for the coaches to reevaluate their options and for the players to get healthy.

Teams seem to have decided to play a three-man front against the Eagles and drop eight guys into zone coverage. Weird, but okay. It largely stops the passing game but lets us run for a gazillion yards. When eight guys turn their back and run away from the line of scrimmage and you've got five offensive linemen to block three defensive linemen, the running back finds big holes. A quick double-team on two defensive linemen and then peel off two of the o-linemen to head down the field and pick off whichever linebacker of safety is nearby, and the backs get a lot of yards per carry. It does slow down the passing game though. 

The Eagles have a pick-your-poison offense. Defenses can stop the pass or the run, but not both. They're choosing to stop the pass early on and are getting killed by the run. We'll have to see what adaptations are made.

Thank you to all for your kind words of sympathy.  It means a lot even though we don't know each other.  I hesitated even sharing that information so it was nice to read those caring words.

Mahomes just threw the ball to his left tackle who made the catch then just stood there like "Why did you throw it to me?" before getting tackled. He knew he wasn't an eligible receiver but Mahomes was under pressure and just threw it to a guy in the right colored jersey.

Is it me, or is something really "off" with the Chiefs?????  They got Kelce and Jones back so what's up?!!!! And Kelce piled it on with unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on that last play!

Halftime Colts leading 28-10. They are running all over the Texans. Richardson rushed for two of the touchdowns. Unfortunately, he's in concussion protocol right now and won't return. That happened on his second touchdown when he fell and hit his head. 

I'm glad the Colts have a reliable backup in Minshew. I hope the team's defense doesn't slack off in the second half.
