I realize many on these forums are not basketball fans, but for those who are, I am loving the WNBA playoffs!  My Golden State Valkyries squeezed out a win over Dallas  to make it to the semi-finals.  The NY Liberty ousted the #1 Minnesota Lynx.  Most of the games so far have been very exciting!

@Linmo

I love women's basketball. Followed these girls in college and now hooked on the W!

@Linmo   Saw that game.  Great game to watch!  DH and I both love to watch WNBA games.  I was born and raised in Indiana and we are still here so naturally I'm a Fever fan but we really like Golden State too.

@Linmo

You just had to rub salt in my wound, didn't you?😭

I am relatively new to being a WNBA fan, but love my team-both the players and the coaches. They had a good season and it is hard to understand how they fell apart at the end.😭

That being said, I am so proud of each and everyone of them-especially our ROOKIE OF THE YEAR -- OLIVIA MILES! I never thought I would be fanning over a basketball player, but I am.

@magicmoodz I love Olivia Miles!  She's been carrying the team all season.  I'm also a big Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams fan.  Olivia probably choked because it was her first playoffs or she was injured or worn out from the season.  Congrats to Olivia on Rookie of the year - it was so well deserved!

I don't think I'd ever watched  but 10-15 total minutes of any WNBA team in my lifetime until Indiana got Caitlin Clark.  Then, I watched as many of the Fever games that I could....if I remembered (LOL!).  Hope the Fever can keep Sophie Cunningham as she quickly became another favorite of mine too.

I'm shocked that my Valkyries sweeped Aja and the defending champs!

I am so upset with NBC that they didn't televise the game on their regular stations in my area.  I had to get a Peacock+ subscription to watch.  It was an away game and my local team.  I  was able to watch the Liberty and Dream on ESPN.   It doesn't make any sense except that NBC wants to take our money!

It should be a good WNBA finals between Golden State and Atlanta.  Congrats to Aja for her 5th MVP award - not too many before her in any sport have done that!

So glad to see a thread on WNBA! I also am a Fever fan but there are a lot of great teams. Looking forward to playoffs between Valkries and Atlanta. Maybe next year Fever!
