@PARedbird wrote:@Spurt - WHAT A GAME!!! I thought for sure at halftime they wouldn't be able to come back and then they did and the score was unreal!! SO very happy to see Wemby back too! They're interviewing him now! Lots of Spurs fans in the audience!
I think our Spurs got this!!! GO SPURS!!
WHEW!! I thought our Spurs were goners, but they didn't give up, they persevered, took control and came back with a solid lead and WIN!!! 114 to 93
GO SPURS GO!!!

@Spurt - soooo exciting!! I'm so thrilled they won and that Wemby is back!! Just love that guy! ![]()
I know they play Tuesday so hoping I'll get to see it at least until halftime. I'm off the next day but since I have to be up super early again Tuesday morning for work, I doubt I'll be able to stay awake to see the whole game.

Thanks for the tip on the Athletic, my subscription is coming up for renewal in August, which will be here before we know it....I primarily subscribe to read Niki's info on Washington, she very good and gives inside stuff we dont get from anyone else....She's also on John Keim's Podcast every now and then....

Another sport duo nickname.....
As a Spur's fan we have a great nickname for the combo of Wemby and Stephon Castle called AREA 51 so named by combining Castle's "5" and Wemby, who is widely known as "The Alien," 👽with his "1" (Area 51) creates a connection to the infamous military base, which is strongly associated with rumors of extraterrestrial life 👽 and fans feel it describs the duo's on-court chemistry, when Castle connects with Wemby for alley-oops and high-flying dunks.
Washington drafted Kaytron Allen RB Penn State, a durable and powerful runner with good vision. He has an interesting nickname "FATMAN"! Kaytron explained: “I was a fat baby and everybody in the town called me Fatman. Hopefully, I keep it going in Washington and they call me Fatman and, you know, when I score all you hear is "Fatman”. So Washington's dynamic rushing duo will be led by “Bill” (Jacory Croskey-Merritt) and Kaytron Allen and could be affectionately known as "BILL AND THE FATMAN".... 😁

NFL.com's post-draft power rankings have the Eagles at ten, the Cowboys at 20, the Commanders at 24, and the Giants at 26. Eh, okay. I think the Giants may take a big step forward. The Commanders have a lot of guys they need to replace. The Cowboys will go as Dak goes. An injury to him, and they're in all kinds of trouble. I like their new DC, and he's a good DB coach, but this is his first time as an NFL DC. And JJ may want a big role in calling the defense.

More changes coming for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL---The pregame show will be going on the road for each and every game!!! (For TV viewers the fans at the game are screaming so loud at these pregame shows you cant even hear what the host/analysts are saying! 🙄), also Cris Simms is OUT and as previously announced Mike Tomlin is in!
Here's a cute photo---
THE SPURS PLAYER'S MOMS MET UP!!!! (from left to right): Castle's mom, Vassell's mom, Harper's mom, Keldon's mom, Bryant's mom, and Wemby's mom. Of course Wemby's mom is the tallest.... 😆

The Colts are #19 in post draft power rankings. The writer says that the team did well without having a first round draft pick. They identified and filled positions of need. Grade was a B. The outcome rides on Daniel Jones and how he does, but the writer isn't giving up on the Colts yet.
Podcaster and former Colts punter, Pat McAfee was criticized for his announcement of the second rounder. Some consider him loud and obnoxious. McAfee is controversial: one either likes him or dislikes him, no in between. He was a good player, but I'm not a fan of his podcast. I don't care about his personality. Just not my style.
I think Mike Tomlin will do well on the pregame show. I've seen him in interviews and he seems quite knowledgeable.

I agree Mike Tomlin should do well on SNF Pregame, hes always been a good speaker and good in interviews....
Me neither, I'm not a fan of Pat McAfee nor his "crew", I tried watching his show a couple of times..... Just not my cup of tea!
Dan Patrick has some interesting guests and interviews....

I rarely watch but Simms 'eviction' is no loss in my view.
