question on dooney.com return

On day 1 I purchased the red medium calf tote for $99 and the Cindy tote for my daughter. If I return the red purse will they charge me shipping for the other purse because it will be under $100? I did not use the red tote but did take the plastic off the handles to check it out. It is very beautiful but is to big and boxy for me. Will taking the plastic off be a problem?
